EX mount drop rates still trash.

I don't have a problem farming it 99 times, I'm actually done with both...
But I have a massive problem with having to wait before I can trade totems for the mount.

I know they do this to increase the number of people chasing the mount but in reality, the majority just sits on 99 totems...

It's far more annoying that they make you wait so long for the totem purchase of the EX mount to be available. If you run it 99 times you deserve to have the mount already ffs

It took me 15 years to get Ashes of Al'ar, a mount that has a very low drop rate in WoW. So I prefer the totem system haha We do already have actually rare mounts outside of the EX trials.

FF14 have the tiger mount from hunt. I don't think it'll take you 15 years, but unless you no life it it will still gonna take a few years to get even if you're deligent. Most people I know played for 5+ years, personally I'm closing to 10 and I'm nowhere near getting it.

I don't really care about the drop rate, but I do feel like if we put in the grind and get 99 totems, we should be able to turn it in for the mount right away instead of waiting months for the next patch to drop. That turns me off doing EX trials fresh tbh. I love doing EX trials on-content for the challenge, but I sure would like something to show for it at the end.

Why did they go back to 1 totem per clear. That is the real gripe. I remember doing 99 runs in the past but ever since they changed to 2 totems I like it and didnt feel bad on spending totems for gear pieces. I dont understand the reasoning for the old formula.

Someone probably already mentioned this but due to the mounts being sort of rare at the start of each new EX patch they want the drop rate to be lower. As the content gets older they increase the drop chance. You don't have to farm for the mounts right now. You choose to farm for the mounts, so you have to expect the currently lower drop rate. If you'd like an easier experience getting the mount please wait till later in the expansion and do mount farms then.

There is no good reason to make people wait 8+ months to buy the mount with totems. That should be available immediately.

I was shocked to discover today that my 99 totems can't even buy me the mount. I've completely wasted my time. Is this real, I now need to sit on these totems for 8 months?
Granted, I should've checked before even starting the grind if I could buy it but, 1) I've managed to always live in the part of the expansion's life cycle where they were already available to buy, I couldn't even imagine this scenario and 2) I had hope until the very last 99th totem that I'd get the drop.
And btw, 99 times, dropped 3 times.
