Difficulty of normal content.

I think the difficulty of some of the solo instances were the most annoying. Even on very easy mode it still took me several tries to clear. I think that hinders players more, who cant progress on MSQ due to a stupid solo-instance they cant clear or have anyone help them with. I felt this way about some solo instances in previous expansions too, though.

As for the raids, the 4th raid is the only one my group kept consistently wiping on. I think if some of the damage was tuned down a tiny bit it would help a lot, because it was not fun when our group started fighting each other over DPS not being able to stay alive. Could have just been our group, I guess. I feel with some more time it should only become more doable as people get more experience trying to clear them. Regardless, it is optional content and the community as a whole seems to want more of a challenge. I am too new as a player, joining last year, to say if its actually too hard.

I was hoping to try out savage for the first time with these raids, but I don't think I will be able to try out savage now just because of how difficult it already was for me.

Solo instances are not hard for the majority of players. It's mostly avoiding orange circles and that's about it. You can get hit by several and get passively healed too. I don't know of anyone who has been "hindered" by solo instances this expansion. If you're dying several times on "very easy" you need to reevaluate what you're doing.

Your group was fighting over dying in normal content? Sounds like you're playing with a bunch of crazies. I wouldn't recommend playing with them if they're treating normal mode content like anything serious. And no, they don't need to turn down the damage. The majority of healers have been asking to hit their heal buttons more often and are doing just fine.

Why would you even think about doing savage content? Clearly if you didn't enjoy the difficulty of normal content then you're not going to enjoy the difficulty of savage. That's the whole point of doing savage. Don't spend months of your life learning fights and dying over and over if you're already having a rough time with normal content. Not all content is made for everyone and that's ok.

I dont know why you feel the need to try to dunk, but I clearly said in the post I wanted to try savage for the first time before the expansion dropped, and seeing these new raids I have changed my mind about it. I checked your original post, and honestly, you should just find a casual raid group and do savage if you want to do it. The best way to improve is by pushing yourself, and if you know what you are in for (a lot of wiping in a group where you can hopefully have fun chatting and hanging out while you wipe and get better each time) then you absolutely 100% should just do it. Doing savage has made extremes, and normal content feel like a breeze to me. Doing ultimates made me feel so much more comfortable in savage after adjusting to the faster pace of ultimates. Doing extremes and savage is the path to being a better player, so long as you keep an open mind and have a growth mentality.

I would avoid feeling discouraged. I honestly think a lot of the time normal mode raids feel a LOT more chaotic and confusing than their savage versions, because savage is a lot tighter and you know what to expect, whereas normal modes have a tendency to very quickly fall apart. I've been tripped up in normal modes all the time because I was too used to the savage version lol.

In any case, don't really pay attention to anyone being dismissive of you. The only people worth being dismissive of in these threads are the ones complaining about difficulty while refusing to actually even consider learning and improving as a player. I hope you give savage a shot and have a lot of fun! PF can be a rough place so finding a group of similarly experienced/minded players on somewhere like the balance discord server is likely the ideal way to start. There should be lots of groups recruiting right now, and it's the perfect time to jump in.

Uh... Sounds like it was too hard for your liking.

I'm not sure why you think someone voicing their opinion to your post is them trying to "dunk" on you or being a "dick". No need to be so defensive. All I said was:

1. Solo instances aren't that hard and you should try to figure out what's going wrong if you're losing on "very easy".
2. If you're playing with people complaining about dying in normal content you should avoid them. Most healers enjoy that they have to hit their healing buttons more in the new content.
3. Why would your reaction to the normal content change how you feel about doing savage? If you don't enjoy difficulty, don't do savage.

First of all, I'm sorry you did the normal raids in party finder. I wouldn't recommend doing them that way. They're not that hard and PF people tend to be weird. And maybe you're under the impression that the difficulty of normal mode effects savage? That's really not the case. They're two completely different beasts. They might have a couple twists on similar mechanics in the normal fight but you really can't compare them at all.
