I don't mean to say this as a joke or even be offensive, but you basically want a mode that is more handicap towards the mechanics for certain players on the story-tied dungeons, right? Dev's have already did a great job on adding the trust system where you can play with official NPCs from the story. I hate that it's limited to certain dungeons, but it's there for most of the dungeons tied into the main story quests. I understand your frustration that the mechanics that we find to be easy is harder for you and other players. I think it would be great if Dev's added a special mode for players to enjoy the game easier by just focusing on the trust system to be added to every dungeon and trial that's in relation towards to just the MSQ so they can progress to the next part.
This is just me being understanding towards people who are having a hard time in the game's casual mode. However, to nerf the entire 'casual' aspect of what was already delivered to us, that I have to disagree on. This is level 90+ dungeons, so it really does meet with everything we have all should have learned from previous dungeons (MSQs and side-quest locked dungeons).
I, personally, don't think the difficulty is at all complicated, but this is coming from someone who's been playing FFXIV since the release date of Heavensward as a DRG & WHM main, did all the side quests (because I didn't like seeing it on my map), and never have I once touched a single synched extreme until the release of "Susano's Extreme". After that, I didn't even get into synced extremes until after I finished Endwalker. I realized everything I have learned up until completing Endwalker, and since there was so many fresh prog PFs up, I wanted to give myself a challenge and I REALLY enjoyed what SE gave us in the trials and Extremes of Endwalker.
I can see for people who are solely just trying to enjoy the game's story and lore, are not trying to go through complicated dungeons and basically want a smooth-ride through the MSQ dungeons, Trials, and story-based instances. I get that. I think this would be solved with the trust system though, and I'm PRETTY sure all of MSQ dungeons use the NPC's for help except for the Dawntrail's final trial boss. (Please correct me if I am, because I have ONLY used the trust system when it meant fighting with Hades' and Hythlodaeus LOL). This is also me NOT including the dungeons that are locked behind side-quests. Because those are still considered "optional" along with PVP, Extremes, Raids, Savages, Ultimates, etc. I'm solely referring to dungeons and trials that are required to progress through the storyline.
