It's only OP dismissing these comments. He needs to make assumptions about people because he knows that his argument is completely selfish, doesn't stand on its own, and he knows we can apply right back to him.
Look at this: OP's opinion doesn't count because normal raids aren't made for him anymore. It's essentially the argument he's putting forward: Everyone who disagrees with him are chuds who belong in savage and like to show their big dunger dps (or trolls). On the other hand, he folds himself in with the casual majority when he is not, and pretends to speak for us.
He needs to discredit people like us because he knows we're right, he knows we belong in the group he's trying to peg himself as and he knows we're fine with this difficulty (at least I would hope so at this point).
I've been playing for 10 years and in some ways that matter to me, I've seen the game degrade over time because of people like that. After so long of this, it's really refreshing to see them reverse the trend. The funny thing is they baaaarely reversed it, and it's enough to cause this much of a kneejerk in someone like OP while I've been silent for 4 years + on the game degrading from my perspective.
Like, there's people that have never touched a video game in their entire lives. Should we accommodate them and lower the level of the game to someone who's never played any video games because they decide to do so on a whim, and is it really reasonable to ignore the effect it might have on established players ? Sometimes it helps to take arguments to the extreme like that to see if they still hold. :P
From having hung out in video game communities for the better part of 3 decades, I know for certain that every game leaves some people behind, despite efforts to be inclusive, and of these few left behind, there's always this one dude arguing that 80% of the playerbase should be left behind so they personally don't feel excluded and refusing to understand how this is disrespectful.
