It is OKAY to fail, in fact it’s almost encouraged.

You will never improve if you are afraid of failure. Do you HONESTLY think that the Ultimate/Savage raiders out there that parse Orange/Pink/Gold all cleared new Savage and Ultimate fights on their first blind pull??

My TEA static FAILED and WIPED for 1000+ pulls before we got ONE clear of TEA. And I guarantee half of that is in the FIRST minute of the fight cause lmao Jagd Doll memes.

“But if I fail, I’ll get flamed”. How are FF14 fans gonna boast and brag about having a “nice” and “non-toxic” community and be afraid of being flamed? As an Omni-Healer main, levelling up my healers in Dawntrail, there were instances where I let the tank die during dungeon pulls because I wanted to greed a Holy or an Art of War or whatever or I was distracted by something. I have my UCOB title on and various Ultimate weapons for each healer I played. Did people flame me? NO. I usually just type “mb” and they’re all cool with it.

Failure is accepted. In fact, encouraged in harder content. But only so long as you LEARN from your mistakes. To quote our favorite Elezen Twins…

“We rise and fall and rise again.”

Now that I've done the normal raids (and the rest of Dawntrail)… Can you provide, say, three examples of what you're talking about?
    • I can't think of a single mechanic whose textual and visual telegraphs are completely disconnected from how it actually works. The concepts have been the same as in previous expansions.
    • As such, I feel like "overlaps" are telegraphed just fine.
    • I feel like I have just as much time to resolve mechanics as I did in previous expansions. If anything, my impatience to get moving gets me thwacked on the head more often than my being too slow, and cases of being too slow are often more a matter of "well, if I start by standing way out in Narnia instead of some place more logical, then yes, I'll have a tough time."
    • The last time I felt like a headless chicken was… the first boss of the Lv.91 dungeon.

This is what it feels like, people don't like to fail, they want to just clear and not need to raise, it's a part of the game, you die, you watch, you learn, it's very strange to me that people get content they want to know and solve at the drop of a hat, makes the game real boring seeing the same "dodge left, dodge right, tank buster, party stacks, aoe" i'm glad M2 has some madness to it, game needs flavour.

OP gets skill checked by the outside bee stingers and that ruined the fight for them, that's it honestly.

this really reads like low quality bait gonna be honest. even the cherry picking of the exact points people were using to complain about the game being easy pre-DT lol

These so called un-telegraphed instakill mechanics are litterally 'telegraphed' by this amazing feature called *The Cast Bar*.
I know, it's hard to grasp this, but i'm sure you will get there.

The castbars in this game litterally tell u what to do. it aint that hard.

This thread is a troll right? These raids were even easier than Endwalker. I cleared all four normals without wiping once...on dynamis data center.

    The mechanics are so simple.

People that like this new difficulty call it "exhilirating" or some such, I call that "stressful". The same people call the old difficulty "snoozefest", I call it "chill". I don't like "stressful" content that's why I don't extremes or savages anymore, I like "chill".

My point is that people that like "exhilarating" content and not an "snoozefest" do have content that fit that requirement, it's called extremes, and savages, and ultimates, etcs.
But until previous expansion people like me that like "chill" and not "stressful" had content to do, it was dungeon and normal trials and normal raids. DT changed that, one too many dungeon bosses are on the stressful spectrum, so are normal trials and normal raids.

I had a place in this game and now I don't feel like I do anymore.
Would it be okay for you to learn all this non standard stuff and make them your new "chill"?

I did had to learn all these mechs to beat said fights (particularly because I ran dungeons with trust and if I die it's insta wipe) but that doesn't make it any more "chill". One does not choose what bothers oneself, it just does.

I love the new raid fight difficulty. I was so happy to actually see a wipe in normal, it's incredible to be able to play some engaging content outside of ultimate or savage. Keep up the good work SE and keep fights like this!
