I wondered how long it would take for a post like this to come up, OP says they play since SB and so have I, I started raiding in SB and the last two expacs the content was so dull and not engaging and now that we're getting something that requires more than a minimum of 0 braincells people are complaining. Maybe the content just isn't for you but the devs did it for a reason because they realized ShB and EW the content was incredibly boring.
