I have nothing against any of these groups myself, to be clear, it's when the expectations/needs intersect in a bad way like this whole thread, basically, that it gets a little more tense.
I agree with everything you've said there.

I also can't imagine any of my friends who are in the "Rewards are the fun part" group making a thread like this.

They don't dislike challenge -- they wouldn't be playing these games if it weren't there -- it's just not what gets up them up in the morning.

Hell, my raid leader in my CE WoW guild is in that second group.
