People should run Sastasha to the end of days if anything above that is too difficult. These past few weeks, we have already seen the consequences. I've had several roulettes for dungeons and raids where half the group quit after the first wipe. We used to make fun of this - a problem the other MMOs had... NOT FFXIV. We prided how we soldier on, we wipe and just have another go!

... the reality is that the game is driving people away. A poorly received story coupled with a high difficulty ceiling of new story mode content has resulted in many people losing interest. Is that what you want? Maybe you do?
Well, congrats, you are getting your wish: people rage quitting after the first wipe and stop logging into the game.

The difficulty in Story Dungeons is still a joke, Have these people never played a videogame in their entire life befoe? every game gets more difficult over time and dieing is part of the game. It is honestly astonishing how pathetic players in this game are.... the reality is that the game is driving people away. The Story of Dawntrail was damn boring for the most part, yes , so at least have combat somewhat engaging .
There are a million guides for everything on youtube, it is just the unwillingness to learn and improve, and catering to the lowest denominator of players will just make the game even more boring.
I remember that one quest where Fandaniel steals your body and puts you in a weak soldier, oh wow i died ONCE in 100 hours of story content, the game is TOO HARD.
but at least i remember that part of the Story because i had to use my brain for once.

Attacking and belittling others because not everyone meets your skill expectations? News flash: Not everyone plays the game for the challenge or has time to repeatedly wipe to learn complex tactics and dances in these fights. Many people have other things going on than just this game (kids, family, work, other hobbies, health reasons; take your pick), people who just play the game... you know... to have some fun?The difficulty in Story Dungeons is still a joke, Have these people never played a videogame in their entire life befoe? every game gets more difficult over time and dieing is part of the game. To expect everyone "get good, learn to play" to your level of expectation is... well.. the very definition of toxicity.

Is that the reality? Or are we getting 1guy'd on the forum.... the reality is that the game is driving people away. A poorly received story coupled with a high difficulty ceiling of new story mode content has resulted in many people losing interest. Is that what you want? Maybe you do?

I would never expect the masses to get to my level of skill or experience, i am myself not even that great at the game but i compensate a lot with knowledge about game mechanics and effort, i do not complain the moment I fail at something.
Nonsense,
yesterday i saw over 160 parties looking for extremes ultimates and savages, three pages of LFG

There is nothing complex in these fights. Level 95 dungeon first boss - Rotate around him to dodge bubbles, easy, move around a little to dodge over bubbles, easy, transpose safe zone for after big bubbles move and be in a safe spot, easy. Level 97 dungeon second boss - Let the AoEs be placed and then step out of them, nothing hard here, last boss? Read? And move with him on his other big mechanic, is that really complex? Or the lvl 100 dungeon: First boss, follow the obvious indicators and stand in the triangular safe spots when you have to, that's perhaps the hardest part but even that isn't "complex tactics" or the last boss there: Pray tell what is hard about check half room cleave, stand in circle, wait and move before third AoE goes off?
The normal trials are even easier, the most threatening mechanics literally tell you what they do, in so many words. Is reading really too complex for the people you represent?

The fact that you interpreted what you quoted as an attack proves that you didn't comprehend what Arohk actually said there. It wasn't a statement of "Have they never played a game in their lives? They Suck!" Instead, it was what I've said multiple times: "Do they really not know that all games require the player to grow in skill level as the game progresses?" I've stated a few times already in this thread, but the expectation of skill growth that the Devs have demonstrated in Dawntrail is NOT unreasonable. It does NOT expect an expert level of play by any stretch of the word. As I mentioned in my most recent previous comment, the majority of the "difficulty" is really just a paradigm shift of needing to actually pay attention to what's happening with the boss and the arena instead of just staring at your hotbars. This expansion was the devs telling the playerbase to improve... The same way that literally EVERY FINAL FANTASY GAME has told their players to improve. If you have played any other Final Fantasy game at all, then you've experienced this very same thing in those as well.Attacking and belittling others because not everyone meets your skill expectations?
