People who don't have the time/energy/skill to raid Savage are the ones who benefit the most from Normal content being slightly more interesting than it was in Endwalker.
Casual players like being challenged too.

Two points to make on this subject that I think can prove everyone's argument...
1. You're playing OPTIONAL content that is made to bridge the gap between normal and extreme/savage.
2. Your character of choice is summoner so no wonder this is hard for you.

Like half the people here are casual players who can't do savage content and want to still have fun playing the game with some challenge, myself included. Casual doesn't have to be braindead easy, there's a MASSIVE gap bewteen "normal" content and anything harder in XIV. There's no midcore content players can enjoy besides some super specific cases.
It is bullying. There is namecalling and players, who are proud of themselves for clearing slightly more difficult content than the OP is comfortable with, saying "git gud" which is sad but also kind of funny. You're soo brave lol
Maybe I am a coward or haven't reached the content, so what? I'm not here discussing particular aspects of any fight but commenting on overall reception towards the design of the content and supporting valid criticism of that content.

In FF14, the casual content is stuff that in many cases needs to be regularly done by savage raiders, probably more than the casual players. Roulettes for tomes. ARs for upgrade tokens. Even normal raids are useful for midcore raiders who might not be able to get the tomestone very quickly and getting 7 weeks of clears for a quick weapon upgrade is very beneficial. To say nothing of the most dedicated players being the most likely to level everything and thus spend the most time in the content. It absolutely is an issue for the normal content in the game to be too easy, which it has been for years. It has driven a few people I personally know who aren't even raiders away from the game.I never said me. I stand with people who want to be able to clear default content because I think it's a non-issue for default content to be easy. I don't need it to be challenging because I've never found default content in MMO's challenging on any level. Painting casual players who want to see content as the entitled ones is easy to do but the truth is more nuanced. Wanting to see content at the endgame is not that entitled and should be expected. An MMO needs to have content for these players as well and it doesn't come at the cost of anything important.
If normal raids are the hardest content you will ever approach in the game, why wouldn't you want them to last you for a while? If you only want the rewards, or want to see a side story sooner, and you don't want to put in the effort to pass what is not hard, just non-trivial difficulty content, how is that not entitlement? I don't yell at SE when a savage raid doesn't roll over and die for me, because I do that optional content for that experience. I don't yell at SE when ultimates take a long time to prog, because I do that optional content for that experience. I don't yell at SE when I get awful luck on the extreme mounts and also can't clear them on the first pull, because I do the content for that experience. So why would I listen to people yelling for SE to make the midcore content designed to be non-trivial fights to challenge midcore players when they are experiencing exactly what the content is meant to be? If you want to do them, improve, or accept it'll take a while to clear them. If you just want the story, and not the combat experience, watch a streamer of your choice.
Plus you already have a ton of somehow even easier content than normal raids. The non savage raiders who want something with some bite to it deserve to have content too.
They are entitled, because the content even in DT *is easy*. Nearly everyone who's complaining still cleared all 4 raid fights in under 24 hours. This isn't hard by any stretch. The Honey B fight had me wishing for the healer to not raise me, I was there in the floor, dead for the Nth time, thinking that I don't really want to be on that duty.
And it's not an issue of learning the fight, because that I can do, but we don't do this content alone, you know? I think it was the 4th time I was doing Valigarmanda when I finally managed to finish without dying myself, but that's a moot point when half the party was dead half of the time, even knowing the fight doesn't make it any less of a disheartening experience.
I normally make a point with these types of post to point out how the developers spent years creating a experience that encouraged people to be bad at the game because there was literally no consequences, and that Dawntrail is just them course corrected and actually expecting someone that is at level 100 to have improved over their journey.
But with you, honestly, you are just a selfish person. You are okay with you being dead and being carried across the finish line but other people aren't given the same courtesy?
I don't get how it's this outlandish idea that MSQ dungeons and trials should have gotten more difficult between expansions. I'm not talking savage/ultimate level difficulty by any means, but come on.....
There are still no consequences. They still killed the boss.
These bosses are so easy that even when everything goes catastrophically wrong and everybody is dying constantly, you can just power through and kill it anyway.

Ermm...again this is not "default" content, it's optional. In one post you said "saying its optional content is disingenuous" but then you turn right around in your next post and say "The content is optional in the same way the whole expansion is optional." So your being a hypocrite here. "Default" content is content required to get to endgame, that means MSQ getting to appropriate level for said MSQ, story dungeons and the one mandatory raid series for crystal tower.I never said me. Literally everything outside of that is optional. This content is easy, and not hard. All of the MSQ can be done via duty support and it's now single player game until DT lvl 100 trail. This is not a non issue for content difficulty, there was no midcore content before dt came out, now that we have it entitled people that got fostered of easy difficulty in ew are pushing back for seemingly no reason at all.
There is no point for a super casual player to be doing these fights weekly, glamor? No you can't even dye this set, won't do savage so they can either. Nor do they need Ilvl at all, the ally raid is there to offer catchup gear later on.
I'm sticking with the idea your newer and that's fine but honestly until you get to current content your opinion is somewhat moot. If you came in saying
"I'm new to the game I like/dislike it so far, I think the content is fair/unfair, this is my take on what content is like as a new player...." then I can get behind your point.
Again it is entitled for players to think/want to be able to do content with little care on learning a fight/mechanic and expect to be rewarded. No if you want to do this content pay it at least the slightest bit of attention and learn it. That's the main crux of this whole post. It's a matter of a player/players not willing to put in the slightest bit of effort needed to clear a raid series, that is and I will say it yet again, completely optional and nobody has to do it at all if they don't like/want to.
I'm on page 1, you can see my thoughts there. I'd like to add that if you are okay remaining dead the whole raid then you are a griefer and I hope your party (OP) reported you for not taking the raise if you sat there and didn't.
No one said you had to execute flawlessly, but you do have to try. If you don't want to try, you can just not queue for this optional content. It's week 1 of normal raid, and OP expects to be able to queue in blind and clear without getting a vuln stack? This is the stress Yoshi P was talking about: content should be challenging. Not impossible, but challenging, even in casual settings. Fewer punishments, fewer gear and skill requirements, but a challenge nonetheless. Removing this doesn't make content accessible, it makes it banal. If you want that kind of content go play another game. It's really too bad that SE let people like this become emboldened by how easy and antisocial Endwalker was.
