The Hunt for Red Choctober in Bozja is harder than almost all the MSQ/expert bosses in DT. That really isn't helping your case here.yep, for full casual players, the dungeon bosses, extreme trials & normal raids are too difficult (for us HC & semi-HC its ofc not too difficult)
...
the fights should be fun & engaging and not necessarily just "harder".., yes, you can make fun & engaging battles & content in mmos, without making them just harder.. (Yoshi might need a fresh perspective & hire some fresh talent for such content, but definitely keep the talent he already has for HC / semi-HC designers)
...
the bojza battles were more fun / engaging than difficult, those should maybe be indicators, on how too keep fights fun, not harder
If you're speaking about EX trials, the word casual should not be included already, plus, it is entirely optional.
I dont know where those people get their information from lol... saying that bozja content was easier is the funniest thing EVER LOL!

Thought I’d finally give my two cents on the subject, for context I do a lot of challenging content including Savage, Ultimate and Deep Dungeon Solo and finally managed to become a Pentalegend earlier this year. However, after finishing TOP I found myself barely logging in because there wasn’t any other content to keep me engaged, only thing keeping me around was stopping my house being demolished and helping my friends clear Ultimates too. So you can imagine my delight at experiencing the enhanced DT dungeon, trial and normal raid design, casual/MSQ content finally felt exciting again and I’ve actually died in dungeons for the first time in a while which was really refreshing and made me think much more carefully about the mechanics. The two extremes have also been fantastic and I’ve got a lot of mileage out of both when previously I’d found the EW ones incredibly boring in comparison.
What I’m trying to say is content should be rich and interesting all the way from story dungeons up to the level of Ultimate, nothing should be phoned in or half-baked, players should get to enjoy enriching content no matter their skill level, after all whilst Ultimates might be my endgame, story content might be someone else’s and why should they get short-changed when it comes to the content being engaging and replayable? I’m all for SE making content being as accessible as possible to all players but this shouldn’t come at the expense of watering down content so the majority get a less fulfilling experience. Additionally, it’s fine to try and fail, it’s all part of the learning process, what I can’t stand are people who throw in the towel at the first sign of resistance and are entitled enough to think that victory should just be handed to them on a silver platter. There are plenty of guides, other players and other resources out there to help you out, you’ve just got to be willing to access them.
really well said. OP is clearly giving up without even "trying" to learn the mechanics.
fun fact.. someone shared with me OP's details in the game, and they clearly don't know how to play they're own job and role...
it speaks volumes about someone who isn't even willing to try and learn.
they 100% came into DT thinking it'll be a one run clear against every single boss fight (:
and what bothers me is OP says " People" when its clearly a self skill issue.
Please, for the love of god, just take like 10 minutes out of your day to sit down and learn how to press your buttons. There's no shame in making mistakes or asking for help (this is new content ffs), all people ask is that you at least try to learn from them instead of throwing a fit over dying or wiping on your first run of a new dungeon/trial/etc and immediately giving up.
It’s all about attitude when approaching new content, like thinking oh no I died against this boss but what did I learn in the process vs oh no I died against this boss, this game is so unfair, content needs to be nerfed. FFXIV is very much a case of learning by osmosis, it’s foolish to enter a new fight assuming that you’ll one shot it, I’ll fully admit I got clowned on by the first boss of the second Expert dungeon multiple times but I found it hilarious, I love how it caught me off-guard. At the end of the day OP needs to relish the chance to get out of their comfort zone, get comfortable with being uncomfortable in more challenging content and I promise you’ll start seeing the game from a new perspective and have more fun in the process, you get nowhere in life without putting in the graft but when you see yourself making progress the hard work you’ve put in definitely feels worth it.
he is a lot easier with fewer people because of the bozja scaling mechanics, when i was doing the duels i soloed his fight around 4am so no one could get in the way and hit me with an AOE, you must defeat the red comet without getting hit by anything to enter the Duel against Lyon
Some people genuinely think the DT casual content we’ve had so far is harder than the harder Bozja/Zadnor fights, that’s certainly one of the takes of all time… I definitely think 4th-make Belias, Red Comet Chocobo and multiple fights from Castrum Lacus Litore, Delubrum Reginae and The Dalriada would have something to say about that though…
