6.0 did hold the biggest player count (Thanks WoW Devs for Shadowlands tho). From 6.1 to 6.5, players (both casuals and midcore/hardcore) started to leave because of the lack of ENGAGING content, even asking for Eureka back.

Yep that’s why I stopped playing. I play casually The story was boring and the content was dead easy. I skipped the extremes in 6.0. Coming back to Dawn Trails it’s even worse. The story is boring and the activities during main story are incredibly dull. Cutscene, click on 3 of those and cutscene. Talk to that guy, cutscene. I wish I skipped all of it.

The dungeon bosses in 7.0 are a bit more refreshing but the whole game is incredibly boring. There’s nothing to work for. Everything is given to you and the way to obtain things are boring.

6.0 relic weapons were the worst. No challenge at all. On top of that I noticed they nurfed the Ascian Prime boss and the moogles hard mode. Which were my 2 favorite bosses to daily.

Is it new people who are saying it is too hard? I thought it was older players who've been playing for years that "can't keep up anymore?"

Could someone catch me up on what the narrative is now, I've lost track.

My favorite ones are the ones who say that they can't keep up because they got 2 kids, a sick wife, 3 jobs, are doing community service, and can't deal with learning a single encounter or even dipping their toes on Bozja cuz it's too much of a commitment for how little time they got.

Okay, so the OP committed the cardinal sin of both saying that they find the new content difficult AND expressing the opinion that SE should review that. A demonstrably unpopular opinion that has prompted 40 pages of aggressive replies from players who don't seem able to make a point without resorting to passive-aggression and insults.

I mean, I realise that everyone who took offense at the OP for posting such an unforgivable thread is desperate to put the point across that they disagree through fear that SE might actually listen, but I think the point has been made now! Forty pages of aggression and insults, and a damn YouTube video mocking the OP, pretty much made the point. It's just getting ridiculous now!

I don't think Shinryu got nerfed. Back when SB released, a lot of people was trying to do Shinryu without getting their class gear, which helped a lot at the time of release.

Shinryu wasn't nerfed, it was because most people when they got to that fight had really bad gear on (mostly whatever they picked up from dungeons) and we didn't have the job gear back then like we do now. I remember having to make a PF for that fight just to beat Stormblood; I enjoyed the fight, but never had to do that since and kinda glad I don't.

This game isn't for you then. I can find something to do literally every day I log on, and actually challenging content or at least content I need to pay attention. There's always something to work towards. Though I will agree on the 6.0 relic weapons, they were really bad. Nothing to them.

Wrong. 40 pages are NOT NEARLY enough of what people like OP need to listen. The opinions of people like OP, who don't actually play the game, have made endwalker post patch the singleplayer sadfest it was. These people need to be publicly ashamed and driven out of the game. This is a mmo, not The Sims 5.

These replies are all over the Forums, I've been trying to offer up counter points but there are so many replies that have just spiralled out of control. At this point I wouldn't be sad if the whole post got locked due to excessive flaming, trolling and rudeness.

Because people are actually getting what they wanted (harder content) and there's always going to be someone of the people who play this game as a dress up simulator and want everything handed to them to make everything easier, instead of actually trying to learn the mechanics. (There's something to be said of checking said mechanics so that disabled people have a chance, but that's a different topic).

Yeah - I get that, and I don't disagree. I simply take issue with how mean spirited this thread has become. There are far too few replies that offer constructive criticism and far too many that pretty much approach this whole thing as if it's a attack on them personally.

I do agree that some comments were a bit over the line.

But so was OP on some of his answers, but not the same "toxicity" that people were in their comments.

To be honest, I kinda hate how the word "Casual" is wrongly used on both sides (and also used as an argument), on one end thinking casual doesn't want this type of content, and on the other end casuals that can't use their hands and wants everything to cater to them. Being a casual doesn't mean that you can't play or learn to play the game, enjoy the current dungeons/trials/raids, learn your class and all that stuff. A casual doesn't necesserily stands in town talking to people and just doing roulettes.

Also saw the argument that if you do not agree, you just want the game to cater to you and do not care about anyone else, which can also be used from both sides.

The video itself doesn't simply mock OP. Some points are kinda relevant, especially since these points are also in the comments here, but they seem to have been either ignored by OP or "disappeared" between "git gud"
