You never wanted to have other people "constructive opinions" (not talking about the low git gud style answer) about this. You ran off as soon as the first excuse showed up. It's all about you and yourself.
I'll make a more constructive one on my side, about the raid (might be spoilers just in case) :
-Besides R1 (which can be figured quite fast), R2 and the "hearts" phase, every non-usual markers were already used in past normal content.
-Fights are not tight at all on DPS (besides R4 last 20%, if you call that a DPS check). You can focus on avoiding stuff.
-Mechanics are not severaly overlapping but mostly coming back-to-back (outside of the usual spread/stack stuff), you have usually a few seconds to react, making the fight more dynamic and less dummy training (hello P1N). If they do overlap it's right before one mech ends, and usually you have 2-3 seconds to react if you didn't before.
-R2 heart phase can be annoying on high ping. But that got nothing to do with Square Enix.
The fights themselves aren't "hard" in a way that the mechanics are difficult to resolve. They're just more dynamic and less hand-holding with telegraphs.
Besides, I don't like how the word "casual" is being thrown around when most casuals are doing fine in Dawntrail. Obviously they had to ADAPT to the change on how the bosses were designed compared to what Square Enix did in ShB and EW. Stop using it like "casuals" means = doing content without any effort

There's nothing hard about the new dungeon and normal raid fight designs, you just can't sleepwalk through them anymore. You have played through one hundred levels of content to get to this point. If you are still unable to dodge AOEs that's on you.
There is nothing punishing and there has never been anything punishing in normal modes, ever. And most of the extremes for that matter.I firmly believe that content meant to be done via the duty finder (where you don't choose who you playing with) shouldn't be this level of punishing. And I know that JP people do savage in the duty finder but we don't do that in NA or EU, for better or worse western players doesn't behave like JP players.
"Western" players do savages /and/ ultimates just fine in PF, you could stop pulling bullshit out of your ass while you are at it as well.
If I can expand on this. The heart mechanic is just Thrice Come Ruin (Delubrum Reginae) with a different UI graphic. And you don't actually die when you are hit 3 times.

It just makes me wonder like... if endwalker was too hard for them, how did they get through everything before it? Endwalker was largely a step down with respects to difficulty, both in fight and job design. Like... if they're struggling this hard, maybe it is a good idea to admit the game isn't for them rather than demanding to be catered to as the lowest denominator. It just strikes me as very unusual at this point, if they insist that it's not from lack of trying, that they're trying to force themselves through a game that they don't really mesh with. There are plenty of games too hard for me that I just don't play, because I have games that do cater to my skill level.I'm not going to say DawnTrail is easy, cause its not. It is definitely a challenge. I can't imagine running it with a trust. What you need is a good FC to run with. We have all types of skill level players in my FC. We all come together to get content done and help others where we can. Even if it means running dungeons over and over again to get a certian drop or whatever is needed. Once data center hopping is opened back up, I and a couple of others in my FC who have seen this post would be more than happy to run with you, if you like. Just throwing the offer out there. It is after all a MMO and shouldn't be played alone in my opinion.
Like I have no doubt they find the dungeon too hard, I just dont understand how they got to that dungeon, and how theyve been walled on it when there really isnt a punishment for dying in this game and all the challenge leading up to it has already been there. How did they get through holminster, or the burn, or even good ol aurum vale? If they're a healer, that makes more sense, but at this point tanks can almost always fill that role in a pinch.

ill stick with it. maybe the player paid for level and story skip, or (ill quote you here) "Like all other casual content in this game, you can just shunt responsibility of a clear onto someone else."
Fun is not objective. whats fun for me may be torture for you.
And im sorry that you are also suffering from it.
Ive never said something about the game designers. i mean my occupational therapist said that ff14 is very suitable for working on my concentration and attention deficits. Of course, "everything only to a healthy extent".
i even said that i dont like the insta death mechanic in the dungeons but i want to keep them.
Venting is one thing but you make fun of the frustrations of others. Do you think it helps if you tell someone how wrong they are and that they should just put more efford into it?
Let's say you have a problem and tell a friend about it. The friend then tells you that your problem isn't a problem at all because it's ridiculous to them.
And now imagine he thinks a bit different and says: ‘It doesn't look like a problem to me, but i accept that its a problem for you.’
for you its "piss easy", but not for me. thats a fact and im okay with it.
ive never said that the difficulty is too much for me. i dont mind it.Ultimately, if you are caught off guard by the raise in difficulty from EW to DT and your first reaction is to go on the forums and complain about how everything is just too hard and needs to be changed... Then ultimately, yeah. I think maybe this game isn't for you.. .. This is level 100. If you've made it this far, this should not be a challenge.
i just wanted to say that you can't expect others to have the same opinion as you and that i can't play the ast bc im overwhelmed with the cards, healing and dmg. my attention span is simply too short and i quickly lose track of things.
See the difference is in WoW if you fail someone will yell at you in game, whereas here in FF14 no one is going criticise you for failing in the game. If you die 5 times in a fight they will just pick you up and either carry you or even help you. However, having chronic "learned helplessness" is not something any rational human community in any field, not just gaming, is tolerant of.I think this is a very good issue to bring up, because it brings us to the logical conclusion of requiring FFXIV be played from 1 to 100 sequentially. The only people who can play Dawntrail endgame are those who have beaten the entire 400-hour MSQ and "got gud", or those who "cheated" by buying a boost. It's a great thing for us to showcase, because we're finally becoming like World of Warcraft, a game that you all claim to hate. Meanwhile, World of Warcraft is actually more friendly to newer players because you can start at the second-newest expansion and reach endgame content within only around 20 hours of playtime. A lot of you HATED the "elitist" nature of your former game, and you came to Final Fantasy XIV because it was "the friendly MMO". But now you all are more hostile to new players than the game you want to replace. Your attitude resulted in the world's former top MMO losing its spot to FFXIV. And what happens when your attitude takes over this game too?
I'm sorry but whoever thinks any of the NORMAL Dungeon and raid content is hard, should seriously stop playing the Game and play Palia or get good at the game finally.
I did half of the Dungeons during leveling with Trusts and half with People and not one time i thought they were hard. on my way to Lvl 100. And i only did Dunegons once during leveling so only gear i really picked up on my way there are the Gear you get form Quests the one or two piece from actual dungeons drops.
The only thing i can agree is annoying as heck is Strayborough, because of the Annyoing Adds and the second if nobody pays attention where the possesed cups are.
The Raid is prefectly tuned for normal. I play from Eu on NA and even i can dodge 95% of the stuff unless i sleep and not move in time or be blind, but that is fine. You can recover from it.
I love that the PvE Content is a bit more spicy in general in DT and not a snorefest like EW was. None of those Dungeons truly were interesting after the first run.
