Also I was doing the raids through partyfinder, so I cant control the groups I got, but yes people were fighting in the 4th raid.

I didnt say anything but my opinion on annoying instances and I also said I am a relatively new player, so the need to be a dick as if I took a side on some debate is wild. Like I literally said it probably just takes practice and time for people to get it better at them.
I checked your original post, and honestly, you should just find a casual raid group and do savage if you want to do it. The best way to improve is by pushing yourself, and if you know what you are in for (a lot of wiping in a group where you can hopefully have fun chatting and hanging out while you wipe and get better each time) then you absolutely 100% should just do it. Doing savage has made extremes, and normal content feel like a breeze to me. Doing ultimates made me feel so much more comfortable in savage after adjusting to the faster pace of ultimates. Doing extremes and savage is the path to being a better player, so long as you keep an open mind and have a growth mentality.

I would avoid feeling discouraged. I honestly think a lot of the time normal mode raids feel a LOT more chaotic and confusing than their savage versions, because savage is a lot tighter and you know what to expect, whereas normal modes have a tendency to very quickly fall apart. I've been tripped up in normal modes all the time because I was too used to the savage version lol.

In any case, don't really pay attention to anyone being dismissive of you. The only people worth being dismissive of in these threads are the ones complaining about difficulty while refusing to actually even consider learning and improving as a player. I hope you give savage a shot and have a lot of fun! PF can be a rough place so finding a group of similarly experienced/minded players on somewhere like the balance discord server is likely the ideal way to start. There should be lots of groups recruiting right now, and it's the perfect time to jump in.

Uh... Sounds like it was too hard for your liking.

I'm not sure why you think someone voicing their opinion to your post is them trying to "dunk" on you or being a "dick". No need to be so defensive. All I said was:

    1. Solo instances aren't that hard and you should try to figure out what's going wrong if you're losing on "very easy".
    2. If you're playing with people complaining about dying in normal content you should avoid them. Most healers enjoy that they have to hit their healing buttons more in the new content.
    3. Why would your reaction to the normal content change how you feel about doing savage? If you don't enjoy difficulty, don't do savage.

First of all, I'm sorry you did the normal raids in party finder. I wouldn't recommend doing them that way. They're not that hard and PF people tend to be weird. And maybe you're under the impression that the difficulty of normal mode effects savage? That's really not the case. They're two completely different beasts. They might have a couple twists on similar mechanics in the normal fight but you really can't compare them at all.

What are you referring to by "this level of difficulty"
You need to understand that in order to have reached this content, you have had to play through hundreds of hours of content that will teach you how to handle these mechanics.

The current normal raid difficult is LITERALLY the bare minimum for difficultly. And what I mean when I say it's the bare minimum is not "this is as easy as it can possibly be" but rather, this content is at the lowest possible difficultly it can be without players literally not needing to interact with the game to clear it.

What you want is to not have to play the game at all, and that will literally contribute to killing the game. I desperately hope devs don't take feedback like this to heart, because it will just further push away the actual casual playerbase and only appeal to people who don't actually enjoy the game to begin with.

If no ones already asked, why does not being ''good'' at this games normal content affect you? Does failing in other games give you the same kind of grief? Is it more a matter of feeling like you're letting others down? Does it make you feel less intelligent when you cant figure something out right away?
Before looking at outside reasons why you aren't happy, ask questions about yourself and why you feel the way you do. I say because I used to be that way when I was new. I mainly play healer, and I was so nervous about playing with others I would solo unsync dungeons and even the early trials, dying until echo was strong enough to carry me through it. But after experiencing some pretty bad dungeons with tanks that never used tank stance, didn't AoE at all or even had no tank period cause they left at the start and we never got a replacement and we still beat the dungeon, i realized ''I guess I can actually do this'' And as more time went on and ive played with all kinds of players, ive learned to find peace with the things im not good at and just be happy about the things i am. And the only people who would ACTUALLY be upset about messing up in normal content are the people who spend most of their time in tales of the duty finder.
Theres also no shame in asking for help if something isnt clicking. Our brains all work differently and there have been simple mechanics that I just blanked on for ages (cough sharp turn) Like when I wiped us on sunken temple 3 times cause I didn't understand doom, and I finally asked my more than patient party ''whats going on?''
All the people who have been saying ''its okay to fail'' are absolutely correct, you're going to fail at a billion more things in life in and out of videogames. The difference is, in games we get to try again and again without consequence.
I personally don't think DT is too hard, heck the stormblood dungeons have harder wall to wall mob pulls than DT, especially since we have so fewer abilities. The one thing I would agree on is when someone said 8 seconds of stun in that 1st expert dungeon boss is too long when getting hit by the dolls.

I will say this the normal raids are just fine People just need to be okay with dying to mechs and being able to learn the mechs and learn how to get past that mech and as someone who has played ex 2 and one ew ex I will say this wipping to an certain mech could be an good thing and Normal raids has always been the content between the casuals and the extremes! Hint as to why its Optional to do that type of content and not everything in the game needs to be quote soloable some content you will need people to compelete certain content with I enjoyed the normal raids and can't wait for the next set of normal raids and etc!!

I just want to say that the 'difficulty' (for me) is balanced. Some instances were easy, some more challenging but not something that's impossible to get through. I am very happy with the 'difficulty' that is at the moment. Haven't felt so excited to wipe, get up, learn and clear in a while. Might give the savage raids a try. If not to clear, then just to see how it is and cheer on the people from the sidelines who want/are good at savage raiding.

This will be my last post on this.
I hope the next 2 8 man tiers and the ally raid series are more difficult. People who want it easy so they can play idle games on the side or watch Netflix while raiding should consider not playing ff14 anymore. It's a multi-player game do not sandbag people because you have short attention spans and can't focus. Ew was stupid easy and enforced this kind of playerbase. Dt is making a change that the majority of the players have been asking for. This is only the start, and I hope it continues, I want excitement not apathy that I have to do my weekly raids. I want to play the game, I want to be engaged. There was this great moment in AAC 1, we all fell off the platforms either when black cat was breaking them or when we got tossed in the air. My whole party was ecstatic a mech got them good. We wiped a few times on brute bomber but had an absolute blast! This is what I was hopeful for when Yoshi p mentioned that he and the team were looking to make the game less stress free. We should be reveling in this! I'm actually going to prog savage because I like the fights so damn much, I never did it in EW because I never felt the fights were all that engaging, God and the ally fights were an absolute snooze fest. I can practically do them blindfolded and only have audio tells only.
