Using Netcode as the layman's term for the game handles, I've gotten enough lectures from my IT friends about misusing terms.I don't think it can be fixed with netcode since the logic are all in server, not on client.
I play in US data center from Asia since my friends all play in US, so you could say my latency is not great.
My tips for this kind of bullet hell is to look for the direction of the bullet, if you need to get across its path, walk behind it, not in front of it to account for latency.
So learn the fight? Dying will happen. Be it normal content or harder content such as Extremes, Savages and Ultimates. The point is to learn and overcome.
This is toxic and if you don't like learning, then maybe don't queue up for things.
You are going into content with 7 other people. It's a learning experience for all of them. You may have things down pat, but the other 7 people may learn at a slower/faster pace than you. Why is it ok for you to die, but not them?
Ok. Your choice. And yes, this concerns normal raids too even if they are optional content. In fact I gonna take the skip option for this raid tier, something I haven't done since I started playing in SB. And that's the point really, for the most part in the past 3 expansions difficulty for normal content was fair outside of some hiccup here and there.
This is correct. Having played on Masamune for a very long time while I lived in Japan and going to Gilgamesh once I went home, I can confirm that the raid culture and etiquette there is **VASTLY** different than NA. Comparing JP to NA, to NA players is going to fall on deaf ears. Nobody really cares. And I don't say that to be mean, it's just how it is. I had to learn and adapt myself.I firmly believe that content meant to be done via the duty finder (where you don't choose who you playing with) shouldn't be this level of punishing. And I know that JP people do savage in the duty finder but we don't do that in NA or EU, for better or worse western players doesn't behave like JP players.
You had all of Shadowbringers and Endwalker. What are you on about? The game gets boring if everything is too easy. Adapt. Better yourself. Enjoy the content. Going into it with a negative opinion at the start is only going to further hamper your experience.
Posts like this are going to garner attention. Don't make a post crying about something in a public forum, then not expect backlash my guy. Similar to the whole 'Healer strike' that has yet to be felt. Healing is quite fun this expansion and those 'striking' are only losing out. Dunno what to say buddy. In the most friendly of ways, I'll just say this. "Get good."

its like, there can be no fun / engagement, without it being hard / difficult??
... i love difficult games, but that's not the only way games can be fun / engaging.., and these bosses were too hard for casauals, so Yowgi
It's not about the game being hard right now, it's about the game was too braindead, predictable and easy in endwalker.
No, I have no fun when a game doesn't challenge me and engages me to think and resolve problems, I am sorry. This is absolutely what I play video games for.
I would think most people who play video games do so because they get their dopamine rush from resolving problems, if we distill it to its simplest essence.
OP is complaining because the game got a little beyond what he's willing to put in/what he's capable of to get it.
The other side of the medal is I haven't really gotten that feedback since early SHB, and I have with DT, especially with these Arcadion fights.
And I mean, it's not like there isn't engaging content that doesn't have a difficulty factor ?
Crafting/getting rich is more a matter of patience and knowledge, for example, and it's pretty engaging ngl.
And there's trust for nearly everything that is modern group content nowadays ? (msq wise)

Your average casuals are clearing the content perfectly fine. We even have some in this thread.
The game didn't get harder. Endwalker was so low compared to previous expansions in terms of boss designs that you think it got harder. They're more dynamic. That's a fact tho.
Bullet-hell mech is another subject, with how old the netcode is, it isn't the best moment to use it.
Bosses are engaging while doing exactly the same as before :
In/out, spread, stack, half room cleave, dodge ground stuff.
There might be new markers or new things, the so called "gotcha" moments, but usually it takes you only 1-2 wipe to figures these out. Or they're called by a sentence in the middle of the screen for some of the MSQ dungeons.
Endwalker was a creat cinematic experience, but content wise, it was a failure. Like I said earlier, I'm pretty sure people got too used to EW designs and now they have to adapt. People are afraid of changes, and it's a human thing. But it'll happen. Adapting is also something human do it alright.
and these bosses were too hard for casauals, so Yoshi has to find a way to keep them fun, without making them harder, simple..
(entitled, are those saying, it has to be difficult or its no fun.., sound like HC Souls elites..)
That's weird. I know numerous people who are casuals to the extreme who are enjoying these fights, be it from the encounters themselves to the music. It's optional content. Don't like it? Don't do it.
Also... it's only normal. You do know that it's ok to stop dps'ing to pay attention to and learn a mechanic, right?
If it's too hard you then it's fine. It's optional content.
get gud, for real though the combat content in DT has been amazing. The new extremes were great and the dungeons, trials and raids on normal arent just a snooze fest where you just cruise through it all with no problems, theyre actually fun.
After having been told countless times to stop queueing for Alliance Raid Roulette because I can get the rewards elsewhere and I should just suck up the fact that I'll only ever get the same boring as shit 3 alliance raids in the game ad nauseum and all the "It's just not for you!" arguments, I can finally say:
If it's too difficult, just stop queueing for it! You can get the rewards elsewhere - maybe the normal raid/expert roulette just isn't for you!
Jokes aside, how many hours do you all have in FFXIV? Probably atleast 300. If you can't handle these right now, look inward please.
