You do have to move forward, you definitely have to fight the bosses, and of course you have to be a DPS. But it's still preferable to tab out for the trash pulls. Only adds around 5 minutes.

its so interesting how there is a whole post on Twitter/X showing some details regarding OP - this person claims to know how they are playing their job and that they've been playing the game for 6 years and the reasons they are giving are valid...
when they havent even cleared any content... "at all" this isnt even considered casual at this point... you are CLEARLY not even trying to give a thought into clearing anything, including normal content.. what you are saying is you want to stand there, get hit by every mechanic, mess up in each and every single one of them, and still get the clear. is that really what you want ? you are ridiculous and people need to stop giving you attention.

Like anyone else OP is entitled to their opinion, but then they shouldn’t be surprised that their opinion doesn’t hold a lot of weight when they don’t look at and analyze fights objectively and base their opinion on their own personal grievances with the content without trying to properly engage with it or sticking to the facts…

Hello, I will allow myself to express an opinion, and I don't care if it does not please the opposing opinions.
For me, the current normal content is refreshing, and I agree in part that it takes us out of the usual repeating patterns.
On the other hand, and I say this, what some people do above amounts to blackmail, if you want to stop your subscription because the game no longer suits you, you are free to do so.
But you can't tell people to understand you and adapt the game to YOUR desire, you're asking them to think about you, and I'm going to ask in return to think about those who have been asking for real changes on the game for a long time. difficulty and game mechanics.
Some say that the community is changing, and I don't agree, players are just behaving like capricious children who ask a majority to comply with the requirements without compromise from a few people who can't do it. It's like I'm threatening to quit the game because I can't get a house and a submarine, that doesn't make any sense, because getting there takes time, patience and effort and it's normal.
Before blaming others, also try to be empathetic instead of justifying a form of selfishness.
EDIT : And I apologize for only being registered today, I didn't know that seniority was required to have the right to express a respectful opinion.

I wouldn't worry about it. From the time of his tweet when Arthars streamed this thread it must have been between by pages 5-8, and then tweeted about it, and then uploaded the clip to youtube, and then twitted again. And another creator uploaded a video of not this thread but the one about dungeons specifically. And then this was linked in 4chan.I've been responding here and there and while I do not agree with a lot of the comments from the OP I've also come to realise that so many of you are needlessly toxic, nasty and uncaring. This whole thread should be locked because it's become a series of unhinged elitist commentary, backhanded comments to the OP and sheer rudeness to anyone suggesting actual feedback on difficulty.
I feel like I've been sent back 15 years to old message boards, shouldn't really be surprised. At this point this thread is a lost cause.
The grand majority of the people on the last 50+ pages were agitated by a streamer or are just trolls. Just look at the staggering number of Jul 2024 - 1 post comments.

Well I for one have been following this thread with great curiosity even before Arthars drew more attention to it OP, I’ve also seen that several people have tried to engage you in a constructive discussion but you have been pretty dismissive of what they have to say or needlessly rude in some your replies. All I’ll say is if you make claims about normal content being too difficult you should be fully prepared to defend your opinion and back up your claims with actual facts, otherwise you’re obviously going to look pretty foolish…
A lot of people are, for some reason, just fearful of dying.
Dying is part of learning fights and has no real downside.
When you wipe to a fight, you start over and do it again.
Often, people will be supportive and help you with whatever you struggled on.
I will never understand people who play an MMO but have anxiety doing no pressure content when so many people are super nice.
I'd rather the game not go back to making every normal difficulty fight a piñata that spits out free loot for just hitting it.
Well, I went kinda unhinged with my griefing roulettes post but I stand by everything I wrote. And yes, I am very much dismissing, but can you provide examples of me being rude?Well I for one have been following this thread with great curiosity even before Arthars drew more attention to it OP, I’ve also seen that several people have tried to engage you in a constructive discussion but you have been pretty dismissive of what they have to say or needlessly rude in some your replies. I do agree that you got a lot of toxic comments. These are not fine.I wouldn't worry about it. You're also part of the problem.
Yet again, you didn't get the validation you were looking for, so you've been blaming it on everybody else (and especially streamers) rather than asking the right question, that maybe, just maybe, you might be in the wrong ?
You seem to be a very self-centered person. People were willing to give you tips, you were ignoring them, even worse than that, you used the mighty "I have been playing for 6 years, I'm fine !" as an argument.
You're not a hardcore player we get it.
You're not a midcore player we get it.
You're also not a casual player. They do adapt and clear dungeons and raids just fine (and extreme/some of savages if they're interested in that type of content despite having little time to play). Wanna know why ? They learn. They ask. They try. They overcome.
You have been ignoring people wanting to help you, giving you arguments. You seem to care only for what makes the water flow your way, judging by your comments and reactions.
That's why I earlier said you were toxic in your own way.
Things going back to EW levels of boss designs will just end up killing the game. Bosses aren't more difficult in Dawntrail, they're designed in a way that you have to pay attention, like WoL in ShB, Shinryu at release when people were using leveling gear. Or even Thunger God in Orbonne before the nerfs. It's ok to die, as long as you learn, it's ok aswell for other people to die and learn, not everyone learn things at the same speed. And yes, you're not alone in a raid, that is called an MMO. If people are learning slower than you, maybe ask them if they need some tips. If you're fine with you failing and learning, but not the others, then the genre isn't for you.

I do remember you making a pointless comment about you eating breakfast when someone replied to you, instead of just waiting until after you’d finish eating and replying civilly I’d consider that pretty rude and petty… it’s not like they were demanding a reply from you…
Back on topic I think the design language of these Normal Raids was very strong, some of the telegraphs/tells were even recycled from previous fights and those that were new communicated what was going to happen pretty well e.g. M1’s attack that launches a player onto another tile and those that weren’t immediately obvious became clearer after seeing the first demonstration e.g. how M1 boss doesn’t turn when teleporting to do the R/L cleave or cardinal/intercardinal cleaves
