So just runs dungeons and story mode trials then? Raids are 100% optional and it is ok to not participate in them if you find them stressful. Now if you DO want to participate in this content you must understand that it is endgame content, it is tuned at a higher level than story content and it should be. Give it more than a day before complaining that its too hard and needs to be nerfed, actually try and learn and improve, you will surprise yourself with how much fun the process of improving can be.Want I want, what I really, really want is:
-More standard telegraphs than custom ones, like the previous expansions.
-Simpler and better telegraphed overlaps, like the previous expansions.
-Slower resolution particularly when there are multiple stuff happening at the same time, like the previous expansions.
-Less headless chicken run mechanics.
People that like this new difficulty call it "exhilirating" or some such, I call that "stressful". The same people call the old difficulty "snoozefest", I call it "chill". I don't like "stressful" content that's why I don't extremes or savages anymore, I like "chill".
My point is that people that like "exhilarating" content and not an "snoozefest" do have content that fit that requirement, it's called extremes, and savages, and ultimates, etcs.
But until previous expansion people like me that like "chill" and not "stressful" had content to do, it was dungeon and normal trials and normal raids. DT changed that, one too many dungeon bosses are on the stressful spectrum, so are normal trials and normal raids.
I had a place in this game and now I don't feel like I do anymore.
I will never understand feeling stressed out when doing content for the first time, especially when its new for nearly everyone. Endwalker was terrible because of how undertuned everything was, you had to go out of your way to wipe to that content, how is that fun?
You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.
Now that I've done the normal raids (and the rest of Dawntrail)… Can you provide, say, three examples of what you're talking about?Want I want, what I really, really want is:

-Slower resolution particularly when there are multiple stuff happening at the same time, like the previous expansions.
-Less headless chicken run mechanics.
- I can't think of a single mechanic whose textual and visual telegraphs are completely disconnected from how it actually works. The concepts have been the same as in previous expansions.
- As such, I feel like "overlaps" are telegraphed just fine.
- I feel like I have just as much time to resolve mechanics as I did in previous expansions. If anything, my impatience to get moving gets me thwacked on the head more often than my being too slow, and cases of being too slow are often more a matter of "well, if I start by standing way out in Narnia instead of some place more logical, then yes, I'll have a tough time."
- The last time I felt like a headless chicken was… the first boss of the Lv.91 dungeon.
OP gets skill checked by the outside bee stingers and that ruined the fight for them, that's it honestly. Now that I've done the normal raids (and the rest of Dawntrail)… Can you provide, say, three examples of what you're talking about?

Would it be okay for you to learn all this non standard stuff and make them your new "chill"?Want I want, what I really, really want is:

I did had to learn all these mechs to beat said fights (particularly because I ran dungeons with trust and if I die it's insta wipe) but that doesn't make it any more "chill". One does not choose what bothers oneself, it just does.

I don't completely agree with that, when something bothers oneself, you do things to make said things not bother you anymore or at least mitigate it to make it bothers less.
I'm pretty sure a couple of the mechanics you've encountered before Dawntrail have been stressful at first, unless you consider the transition to Dawntrail to have been really that steep?
I'm not really sure what type of content you run now that you've cleared all these MSQ dungeons, but its very possible that this type of content becomes more relaxed for you if you run them more, and get used to them
The rains have ceased, and we have been graced with another beautiful day. But you are not here to see it..
First of all, I think there must be some issue here that doesn't make sense. IMO this discussion on the forum is 100 times more stressful than anything in Dawntrail at all. Even as you described them, you wiped once or twice - so did I, that is literally normal, ok and expected. It would be strange if you didn't.
This agument, and arguments in general and incredibly stressful things, so whatever is bothering you likely isn't stress. (I do love a good argument, but they are absolutely stressful events.)
I'm worried if this is too much stress for you and you don't like it, how do you find a job? go to school? talk to family members that vote differently than you? drive a car on a freeway? pay your bills? Go shopping and cook dinner?
The point is this level of stress is literally what it means to be human. After six years experince doing literally anything, i'd expect literally anyone to be able to do with a few unexpected twists and turns.
I don't want to pile on or be an asshole, it's more that I'm worried about you. When you logoff, are you ok?
Best,
Mak
