    I was having fun. This is when I knew there was something wrong. I was purposely getting hit with the attacks that 1 shotted me with my viper and it took a fraction of my health away. This is why people who play tanks are not complaining because it's not difficult for them because they can't die. Unless they fall off the edge or through a hole. The game shouldn't be designed this way.
    This is classic tank privilege, yep lol. Unfortunately the game really DOES NOT have any mechanics that punish tanks in any normal content, which is one thing that contributes to a lot of healers feeling kind of superfluous in the way the game is currently designed outside of Ex+ content.

This shouldn't happen. Tanks should be able to die just like everyone else.
    And this is a good example of the epitome of normal content failing to design around tanks. Even on the final trial of the story, there's no real mechanic that push tanks. For example, very heavy tank busters that require tanks to use heavy mitigation or have healers help them, which would make it harder for tanks to just solo/duo carry an entire dead party for multiple minutes at a time.

    Some people think this is fine, I kinda disagree with them... but if that WAS the case, there'd probably be even more complaints in this thread lol.

    I do have one strong disagreement with you here, though. Casters having to work around dodging mechanics is one of the things that makes casters still engaging. Learning how to slidecast, pre-positioning to not need to dodge mechanics that are coming up, knowing when to hold and use instant GCDs. These are all important parts of the game that keep jobs like Black Mage and Pictomancer actually fun, as well as one of the few bastions of design that make healers not literally fall asleep at the keyboard.

    And on an entirely unrelated note, I find it hilarious that people still take the bait from a Balmung Catgirl. Stop giving her attention, she's proven over and over that she isn't interested in arguing in good faith and just wants to pull the whole thread down with them.

    So its now week four of the dungeons and week two of the raid.

    Focusing on the raid, i can categorically say that week two is easier.

    Week one deaths: M1 - 9, M2 - 4, M3 - 1, M4 - 6
    Week two deaths so far: M1 - 1, M3 - 0 (yet to do M2/4)

    This is because the fight is easier because I have now experienced it more.

    Stop being an overdramatic reactionary and actually experience things. Or actually contextualise it better by stating its your initial thoughts, rather than a blanket view that things are too difficult.

    Unfamiliar =/= more difficult!

    I had one death in the 4 raids this week (after dying "quite a bit" more on week one XD).
    That doesn't change the fact they are annoying to play.

    It's fun the first time and then it isn't on the second. It's like Alliance Raids (especially SB/SHB) - they are epic the first time and then, when you get them in Alliance Roulette, you know you are in for 45 minutes of pain and suffering

    No way, when I get SB raids I'm excited! I wish I'd get them WAY more than I currently do. Less so for the ShB ones, but I didn't like them on launch anyways. Not for them being difficult or anything, I just found them boring - if I wanted Nier Automata I'd just replay Nier Automata

    I had four deaths and we wiped once this week, did all four.
    We wiped on Honey B, I said in party chat: "I don't even mind, these fights are so entertaining".
    It's a letdown when I personally die, but I blame myself, and I encourage myself to not let it happen next time. ♥
    I was so eager to redo the fights that I went ahead and didn't wait for my friends lol, I got all my loots, but hell yeah I'll do them again.
    There's 25 million players on ffxiv, and square has data on each and every one of them.
    They know if you're wiping on honey b, they know if it's unfair, all of that irrespective of your own perspective in favor of a less biased one.
    I'm sorry you find these fights annoying, but I found endwalker fights boring. ;o;

    And no one's even geared up yet. Just wait until everyone is 90 item levels higher.

    While your argument is correct, by the time we get 90 more ilvls, the first 4 raids will become a lot less relevant. Unless, of course, they pop in the relic quest line somehow
