I Can't Help but to think FFXI Opening CGI is highly simular to..

FFXIV's A Realm Reborn Trailer: has a Similar feel to FFXI Opening Trailer, instead of Beastman attacking Kingdom of San'doria, it the Garlands attacking Ul'dah. That's really the only difference is the Enemy attacking. Here's the Opening to FFXI:

Just Mute both of them... and You'll see Its almost the same FFXI= Beastman Attacking Sandy FFXIV= Garland attacking Ul'dah and the Darkness feel to it like XI has as well in the opening CGI.

What do you guys think about it?

They aren't attacking san'doria, they are attacking that other place.. the CoP zone.. the name I can't remember. Tavnanznia?

Oh? I thought it was considering Sandy's flag was broken off after the Beastman won the fight :P and it looked like a Castle was being Infiltrated :P. I always thought it was that but either way you put it, it has that feel to it to me. Except XI voice is alot better :P. I hope the Full Opening for FFXIV is a different voice though.

Edit: Was Tavnanznia even in the storyline when the Original FFXI came out? I forget.. been too long XD.

IIRC it was a district in the sandoria nation, all three nations were there to defend it though.. I think that was the climax of the war, minus the fenrir story.

Doesn't seem all that similar to me. And how did you confuse San'doria with Tavnazia? O_o You even got to peek out at the ruins of Tavnazia in CoP.

In RRB trailer, they are being attacked on a battlefield, in XI, they are defending a city. Also missing beastmen. Though, the main character does look like Aldo.

Yeah your right, and in FFXIV A Realm Reborn they are doing the exact same thing: Forming a Eorzan Alliance to defend against this threat.. which is simular to FFXI Vana'dain Alliance ( thats what Im calling it anyways :P) to defend against this threat.

20 years later.. FFXI

Assuming FFXIV will have a "X Year later". Since there homes got attacked.. so they need time to rebuild.

Edit: Yes it is on a Battlefield, however, Ul'dah is getting Blow into Smithereens by Dalamud :P.. its all the same " Destruction!" :P
