I saw someone spawn an SS with some other players and then not actually reach it in time to hit it to get credit. They were on the other side of the map and the zerg was so thorough and fast that the SS was dead.
The people who *spawned* the freaking thing got no credit. I'm all for buffing the HP.
Remove endgame tomestones from hunts (leave poetics and hunt currency). Could probably remove the materia clusters as well. People who only go to hunts for the quick and easy tomestones or the massive amounts of materia would need to look to other content to get them.
Change Rank A respawn timers from 4-6 hours to 2-8 hours. They won't be left alone long enough for trains to happen on most worlds. Players can go back to hunting the old way.
Fewer players in attendance means the hunts will die slower. There will be no need for invulns or iffy HP scaling systems. No more entitled players screaming "how dare you pull before I arrived!" The hunt can go back to those who like the hunt and not just the easy tomestones.

Oh it's in a set spot? That'd explain how they got to it so fast...
This expansion is particularly bad about the SS rank spawn points because the zone 3/6 spawns points are about as far from an aetheryte as they could possibly be so at present you are almost guaranteed to miss out if you're out trying to actively spawn the thing and not at the minion that was closest to its spawn point.
I remembered so many corpses in Shroud during Odin Fate. (ARR). So much lag until the zone exploded, we can only guess if our attacks landed on him.

You open the door theres nothing in sight. You close the door wondering whats in sight. But lets be honest its probably gonna just let you down.
Hilariously, I have seen the zone 5 S rank nearly wipe a group of 200+ people because someone instapulled it so it had time to get the spicy part of mechanics.
It was beautiful chaos.
This sounds more like a DPS role problem, and honestly ppl that do hunt trains or S ranks should know that playing dps is just griefing your party, you either play healer or tank you only need to throw a couple aoe heals or use your range attack as tank with the stance on, turning the hunts into fates wouldn't change the situation that much either cuz to ensure a full reward on a fate you will also end up spamming heals or enmity as tank
People shouldn't have to be adjusting their playstyle to make a system work properly.
Just the fact that you have to spam tanks in your party comps to get full credit from an average hunt indicates how poorly designed things have always been.
