Legitimately, if you're unhappy, now's the time to break your addiction.

There is literally nothing enticing coming out until 7.25 (probably?), and that's at least a year out.

As of today I'm actually a month or so out from 3000 days subscribed. Before DT I was actually somewhat chuffed by the notion, but now the milestone feels completely tainted. I can't even cancel in time before it ticks over since I paid for 6 months.

It should at least last until 7.1 so I can make an informed decision to finally retire my 1.0 WoL for good.

That's true, but I haven't played any MMO completely absent of private instances, going all the way back to the early 2000s.

You'd have to go back to EverQuest from 1999 to 2002. The Lost Dungeons of Norrath expansion kind of blew our minds. We were used to camp and grind and contested open world content before that.

Honestly, I'm having a blast with DT so far. Been a while since I enjoyed playing the actual game rather than just hanging out with friends ingame.

The MSQ really soured me on the game. That experience is what normally creates an emotional attachment for me, and without that, I've lost most of my motivation.

By the time of the .01 patch for ShB and EW, at least half my jobs were max level, all my crafters and gatherers were max, I had finished my hunts, most my FATE grind, and had at least one EX on farm. I haven't even finished leveling all my mains this time around. I probably would let my sub lapse but I have a medium house and am still coping that things will be better with the raid patch.

For the first time since I started playing this game (2.0) I fell asleep during the MSQ...several times. I'm at the lvl97 area and I just don't want to turn on the game, it's such a borefest now. They dropped the ball hard with the MSQ and the almost 0 gameplay during it. People is saying that the EX trials are ok....maybe i will do a final effort.

Viper and Picto are a blast to play...a shame that most of their fun stuff is at lvl90 and all the roulettes I get are tam freaking tara at lvl18 and the Crystal Tower.

Honestly im just waiting for the hypes to die down so I can go back to playing pre-DT ultimates. Its the only content thats interesting to me. Pandaemonium was my first savage and I got bored of it already... whats the point, gears are overgeared easily by new crafted sets. Mounts you can go back anytime in the future and get them much much easily with less RNG involved. Outside of ultimate weapons there arent really anything of value.

Maybe houses but lets not get crazy here. We are designed to be homeless in XIV.

I usually enjoy just leveling jobs, but considering how little I like the current PvE kits for the most part and with the potential 8.0 adjustments towards more flavorful kits, I might just sit it out for most of them and do it next expansion instead.

Most of the content I'm interested in is coming in later patches so I might just sit out until we get PvP tweaks, Beastmaster and the new field operation.
