Everything else realistically lasts about an afternoon before it's already old. It's a limitation of building a game around instanced synchronized swimming. Once you learn it, you know it.

FFXIV just isn't built to have a lot of meaningful things to do, and that's fine. It's a visual novel with a raid sim attached. Other MMORPGs have interesting worlds to engage with regularly.
