Make Lyse not be Lyse but Yda. Either delete Zenos from the whole of the story or make it so he actually changes his mind when Alisae talks to him in Garlemald and absolutely DELETE him self inserting to be the end of Endwalker.

He does though. Now, Zenos doesn't pull a sudden 180 and become a good boy who values life and peace and justice etc. But those words from Alisae do influence him. It's why, instead of going down his path of trying to **** off the WOL and stoke their fury to fight him...he helps us. He makes a deal with Krile, he comes to our aid. And then, AFTER he helps us save the universe, politely ASKS us to fight him, saying that he won't force the issue if we decline.

Yeah, but it's okay for super dumb anime stuff to happen when you're having fun with it. Suspend your disbelief.

The problem is that the story fundamentally is not fun. You could not pay me money to watch this, even if I'm stuck on an airplane with no other stimulation.
