I had another thread with what could be the same issue. For me, disabling Microsoft Device Association Root was what finally stopped the game freezes I was having.

I'm going to chime in and say that I did the same and had the same result. The game still has the occasional freeze, but not nearly so often or so regularly. The Microsoft Device Association Root Enumarator is something that's used to address older forms of input, so disabling it probably won't hurt much unless you're using a non-USB mouse or MIDI device or something like that.

If disabling the Microsoft Device Association Root Enumarator helps then it is very likely, that you have very old drivers for things like gamepads or mouse or so.
