Random stutters in any kind of content

I am experiencing random stuttering in the game with a 7800X3D CPU and an RTX 4090 on a 4K 144Hz monitor. The game runs smoothly most of the time, but occasionally (at least 15 or 20 times per playing session), the FPS drops drastically, freezing the game for about 3 seconds before returning to normal.

This issue is incredibly frustrating and appears to happen randomly without any noticeable pattern. It is not a hardware problem, as I only encounter this issue with XIV since the Dawntrail launch.

I know i'm not the only player having this issue, as you can see in this reddit thread or on the lodestone forum.

Everything ran smoothly during Endwalker, so I suspect the problem is related to the recent graphical update.

With the upcoming savage raids, having these 3 to 4-second freezes during critical mechanics is unacceptable.

This significantly hampers gameplay and requires a prompt fix.

We need some kind of communication from Square Enix on this matter to address the issue as soon as possible.

Do you have Corsair iCUE, the reddit thread says it was the iCue Software! It needs to be uninstalled.

    If it's not helping:

    Is your UEFI/BIOS up2date?

Do you HVCI enabled ? Try disabling it.

Would you post a screenshot of HWINfo64 Summary only?

3-4 Seconds Freezes is not an issue from the FFXIV client, i really doubt it!
I'm playing with 5800X3D and 4080S without any issue since DT launch. (60+ hours)

It seems that deleting iCue has resolved the problem. It's a bit strange, though, because I had it before Dawntrail and they were working fine together.

Regardless, I hadn't noticed the edit by the author, so thank you very much for pointing that out!

I'm the author of that post! Hello! Uninstalling iCue stopped the predictable stutter every 30 minutes like I mentioned in a comment (the stutters would occur every 30 minutes starting from when I booted my PC), but I still get occasional stutters once every couple of hours. It's definitely to the point where it's so rare that it doesn't impact gameplay, but it's still frustrating. I can usually go 2 days or so without it occurring, but I don't know for sure if it's just happening when I'm not looking at the screen or actively playing. Last night, it happened around the exact time of a windows update, specifically for Microsoft.GamingServices. I never had any stutters like these before DT, and these issues have only occurred in 14 from the beginning, so I don't know if the game now doesn't play well when Windows or other programs do stuff in the background or what. Who knows

If anyone needs RGB Control without the bs of ICUE - Try SignalRGB or OpenRGB.

Both are vastly superior to ICUE.
