Revisit trait is supposed to be their answer to that, but that trait is pretty garbage because it's very RNG based. I spent 2 hours gathering various materials yesterday and it didn't proc a single time.
I think this was probably an intentional decision. If they keep adding new cordials that restore increasing amounts of GP, the amount of items that people can gather will snowball which could affect the economy in some less than desirable ways.
Honestly I'm okay with just having Hi-Cordial.
My outline for a Chemist healer: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/513527-Healer-Concept-Draft-Chemist
pretty sure whoever care about crafting and gathering already swim in gil in this game, i just do some casual crafting and already have more than 500 million and doesn't mind about little price drop, this game market get inflatation already that why they have to add 50 million gils mount as gils sink
so i just count that better cordial as QoL feature now
only think new cordial help now is grind point in dialem, end game mats all on time node and we have more than enough GP to gather it at maxium effective if we come in as full GP bar

Gathered items in this game are worthless anyway and flooded with materials very quickly. This is not the excuse to use.
right, it's funny whenever i saw someone bring up a wish about new cordial, it's immediatly shoot off by some players, not devs, with same outdate reason from god know when, bot nowaday more focus on farming crystal and at this level hi-cordial is enough for them, the one getting suffer is high end gathering and crafting player which i don't belive bot ever reach that range
It really needs bad luck protection.
Like it starts at a 5% chance to trigger, but every node you hit it goes up another 5%. 5%, 10%, 15%, all the way up to 100%. If at any point it procs, it drops back down to 5%.
Something akin to that. Doesn't even need to be 5% specifically, just using it as an example.
Hi-Cordial works fine. GP regen plus one Hi-Cordial means my GP will be topped off when the next timed node spawns 6 minutes later. I can do normal gathering while waiting and still get a considerable number of items gathered without the use of GP (though usually I can squeeze in a couple of BY/BHII). If I have need to use GP between the timed nodes, I can always use the Hi-Cordial on cooldown instead of only once every 6 minutes.
We're not intended to be gathering from every active timed node (other than the Ephemeral triplets).
We're not intended to be GP capped for every node.
We're not intended to hit 1000 on Ephemeral Nodes every time and even without using GP on a node we still have a chance to produce an Aethersand when we start using Reduction on what we've gathered.
I don't think Revisit is supposed to be a Cordial replacement at all. I think it's an attempt to make gathering more interesting by inserting the random "win".
And I have to admit, it's worked pretty well on me. It feels good when Revisit procs on Legendary nodes, that is a huge benefit (especially when I'm gathering from them as much for spiritbond as stockpiling for now).
As for frequency of procs, for me it seems to have been in the 10-15% range. I don't know if the difference compared to what others experience is pure RNG or if chance to proc is influenced by Gathering/Perception/GP like node bonuses and collectable rating are. Nothing in the tooltip states that those influence it but you never know.
is revisit still a thing? i have been farming all week about 2 hours a day for 6 days and have not hit 1 yet a few weeks back i was getting them from time to time but since the new year i have not hit ONE ? what has happened?
