How can story writer so perfectly in Shadowbringers to be as disappointment as we see in Dawntrail?

I was trying to compare each aspect each character each area each event each conflict..
it doesn't look like the same game!

The writers from SHB and EW got promotions, so with Dawntrail we have new writers. Simple as that.

Any sources on that? From what I remmber the main writer for SHB is not the same as EW and the writer for SHB left square after the release of SHB

I remember playing the DRK quests and I was just shocked at how awesome the writing was. Turns out there was a reason for that, and that reason wasn't writing the story for DT.

I am looking forward for her next project..
until that ffxiv will still suck for next 10 years if there is no improvement to writing or gameplay aspect

I am just viewing it as a transition period. established people leave and its a rebuilding period.

hopefully they find their footing before the building collapses around them.

My tinfoil hat theory is that they made the story deliberately so bad, so that our expectations for 8.0 are especially low.
