Mountain Zu Promotion Suggestion

Please make it more clear that you will artificially limit access to promotional mounts during the middle of the promotion period.

I had money and time wasted thinking that when I purchased special edition mountain dews I would get a code that would work for the promotion. This was not the case, I had to wait until the old special editions were very slowly replaced.

Then this weekend I finally find the special edition dews and redeem my codes today to find that the Zu mount is "sold out".

This feels very bad and I do not like this decision. So much so that I am writing everywhere I can think of to tell you how bad this feels.

I think limiting this is a poor and short sighted decision and you have caused me to waste money and put me off from ever participating in these events again.

I'm not sure what promotional Dews you found, but the old stuff worked just fine as the website that organizes it has been around for a while as has the promo drinks. Years even.

Though I do agree the scarcity of digital items are ...interesting how it can even happen.

There was a rollout period where they changed already special edition dews to contain the proper code for the new promotion. Where I lived this took awhile and at first was deceptive as I bought several of the Caseys General Stores special dews that had no codes in their caps.

I bought some as soon as they announced the upcoming promotion on stream. I didn't even watch the end of the stream I just went out and bought them.
I had no problems with the codes in any of these caps. Nothing about the codes are related specifically to FFXIV, they were all just generic Dew Gaming codes for the Dew Gaming site.

There were some non-gaming branded Dews, I simply just didn't buy those flavours.
Maybe your local store had some other unrelated promo going on but there was no time gating in the general sense.

I had this happen to me as well and I am livid.

To start with the "special" 2x promo codes were not all 2x points. Every bottle is clearly labeled "2x", however that's not the case. The ones with the yellow caps are 200 points, but for some reason a batch of them have white caps only worth 100 points.

Then today the site just ran out of the damn mount.

On Monday I will be contacting the FTC because this is false advertising and frankly, absolutely terrible.
