Can I please have Rough Divide back?
Can I please have Rough Divide back?
It gets worse once you hit 100.. you'll be ending your no mercy with full bullets and spamming the burst strike+ continuation with no damage increase and no oGCD between em
I'm a casual. I only ever used it for movement. But it didn't have this weird pause at the end of it preventing a GCD weaponskill like the new movement ability does and it's a Iconic move of Squall from FF8 which GNB is based on. So... I want it back lol.
That's not an issue.
Burst strike is now part of the filler, unless you use a potion that last 30 seconds.
Nothing compels you to absolutely spam burst strike
You're basically complaining that your car has extra fuel when you reach your destination.
That's extra fuel, take it my dude.
This is a good thing...
Did you ever try playing GNB in ultimate? If you hit a phase transition at a bad time and are forced to enter NM with 2 carts, you have to choose between delaying NM and losing a huge amount of damage by being out of sync with raid buffs, or delaying gnashing fang or double down and having your rotation be irrecoverably broken for the rest of the fight.
GNB's cart economy was broken and it's much better now. The job felt absolutely awful in any content that didn't allow for 100% uptime.

You don't even need to quote ultimate, I think P8S P2 was also weird if you played with your cartridges without thinking.
You had to hold your burst strikes to ensure having 3 cartridges at your next 60s without having to use the AoE combo, which is a massive DPS loss.
Depending on boss movement of the next savage, we might see different use of Bloodfest than the 100% uptime rotation.
Ah, I played PLD for Abyssos and GNB for Anabaseios so IDK how GNB did in P8.Yeah, this.

Lionheart does offer a great deal of flexibility though, which is good. You'll either be able to use the extra carts to recover from downtime prior to an even minute burst, use it to generate additional carts if you won't have enough carts for your next odd minute burst, or just dump carts on burst strike for damage in full uptime.
Fantastic and much needed change for the job.
I do miss rough divide because it aggro mobs to be honest if it could do a aoe enmity boost or something it would make it good as hell but in this state it's strange as hell and warrior and paladin still have the damage rush
"Planned Tank Adjustments
Players have cited concerns with holding enmity in battle, due to the fact certain jobs are able to begin encounters with high damaging attacks─an issue compounded by the removal of damage from dark knight and gunbreaker movement abilities. To help remedy this, we will be adding increased enmity effects to tank area-of-effect attacks, as well as their movement abilities in Patch 7.01."
