    Higher than usual Teleport costs?

    I'm finally getting around to leveling DoL/DoH, and as I teleport around Tural doing wingleves, I couldn't help but notice that the Teleport costs are a little... nutty.

    Just teleporting from Tuliyollal to Yak T'el is over 1000 gil, which in the past was the price of Teleporting to an entirely different reflection. All this gil just trying to Teleport to a zone with a direct connection to the one I'm coming from. It costs less to Teleport to the edge of the universe and thousands of years into the past than it does to Teleport across this stupid continent.

    If these zones are, in truth, malms and malms apart, then the game did an awful job communicating this (outside of Heritage Found, that train really put in some work huh). Looking at a map, Tural looks like it's about as long as the Old World is wide, but... it doesn't feel like it.

    Then again, it's probably also my fault for not being in an FC...

    Yeah, they have clearly inflated the gil cost for traveling between the latest zones.

    There are a couple ways to reduce the teleportation cost but it will require some time and dedication.
    If you haven't, send your Adventurer Squadron to do missions that (if successful) grants Priority Aetheryte Pass - Teleport Fee Reduction: 40% Duration: 120m..
    And/or do some old Hunts (ARR, HW & SB / Allied Seal & Centurio Seal) to buy Aetheryte Ticket - A free teleport for each ticket.

    SB Hunts too for the Centurio seals, and Masked Carnivale(Blue Mage) is also a great way to get allied seals.

    I've never touched Blue Mage due to lack of interest for it.
    But that's good to know for people who might see that as another option.
    Also, nice of you to correct me on where to get required Seals. I forgot that Stormblood also used the Centurion Seals.

    I've noticed this too... Finally I can use my 4 stacks of Aetheryte Tickets I've been hoarding, lol.

    I don't think anyone will ever need that many, but what do I spend Allied and Centurio seals on when I got everything else?

    We need an option to sell tickets on the MB. /s

    I thought that they said they wouldn't make it more than 1000 in and old live letter.

    Not saying I can't pay but 2000 is a bit expensive just for tp especially when you tp a lot, even with reduction fee.

    Realistically they were not priced high enough.

    The three cities and the zones in between should be twice as expensive as taking the airship. Ishgard should be only slightly more than that. Every place outside, as-the-crow-flies should be more expensive.

    Then there is Elpis, The Moon, and the First. Those should actually be SUPER Expensive, but realistically, the game can't do that because it would end up gating players behind doing multiple cheaper teleports and land travel that is just annoying.

    The game has chocobo porters and that is what you "should" be using if you don't want the cost of the teleports. You were not really supposed to (even in 1.0) to use teleports as the sole source of travel. In 1.0 there was actually a time cost (Anima) in using teleports, so you could only teleport maybe a few times a day and then you had to walk. If they brought that back in a form that would make sense. It NEVER made sense to charge gil to teleport. It should have always been some kind of ticket mechanic.

    I just imagine someone inserting 2000 gil into the aetheryte somewhere and someone else wandering up and going "spare some gil so I can get home?"
