PVP isn't meant to be taken seriously in this game, it's literally just the weenie hut jr of FFXIV, you're forced to do it for the extra tomestones and exp and then you don't have to think about it for the next day, anyone who actually takes it seriously, especially frontlines, is a moron (there are a lot of morons in this game).

I would agree that PvP - aside from some specific arrangements- isn't done competitively, and the game design doesn't lend itself to what a game dedicated to PVP would typically have.

However, given all of the options available in the game, no one is "forced" to do FL for tomestones or experience, but if that's their primary motivation then it's to their advantage to try to win.

I have to disagree slightly with the “it doesn’t matter”

Its pvp, player vs player. You should be going in there with the mentality to win. You may just want your daily exp but there is people queuing who wants the mounts and clothes that require wins so needs people to be trying to their best. A bit selfish to say otherwise.


You said something sorta rude and he replied in return. I dont blame the guy for defending everyone else if you aren’t doing good yourself.
