7.0 Spoilers

I saw in several interviews that the direction of the game (7.1 an on) would be based on player feedback, so I wanted to give my feedback:

I LOVED the symbol of Azem on the key at the very end. I need more Azem lore!

I LOVED the merging of another reflection. I'd love to see that fleshed out more, and, eventually, learn to travel to different shards with our Scion crew.

I am BEGGING for more Emet-Selch. It doesn't have to be a lot (less is more?). But can't we go into the Aitiascope and chat with him? Yell at him for setting us up in the Golden City? Please, more Emet.

I'd really like to meet all of the ancient convocation members. Maybe not as enemies, but as allies.

There was a loud noise UNDER the earth right before the Meteion began her work. I'd like to know more about that, please.

I second this list! I'd like to spend time getting to know Azem and the convocation of fourteen. I enjoyed Dawntrails story but something more personal to the WoL would have captured my attention more. At the very least I think it would be fun exploring what Azem was doing during the end of days.

Also if the scions end up traveling between reflections maybe Ryne and Gaia could play a larger role in the story again. That would be nice.

Pretty sure Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeus are having their souls cleansed so they can be reborn. There's not much to talk to anymore.

Pretty sure you're just asking for Shadowbringers 2. If anything, I feel like that final zone and its setup was meticulously constructed to not be Shadowbringers 2, and I liked it for that. We already have a Shadowbringers, I don't think we need another.

Also, the 'sound from beneath the earth' was Meteion's actual song from what we can tell, an NPC in Thavnair mentions something similar. I feel like what they heard was either the song itself but so divorced from context that its direction was unclear (maybe hearing the sound bounce off the ground more than the sound on its way there), or the earth beneath them just breaking from the song's impact.

I am begging the writers to let Emet stay dead and gone, I'm sorry lol. I don't particularly object to anything else (although I doubt we'll get much more lore about the mechanics of the Final Days, unless/until the writers contrive a scenario where the characters need to cross-reference), and I suspect we'll learn something more about Azem eventually. But if I never see or hear from Emet again? It'll be too soon. And regardless of how any of us feel about him, I think any manner of reprise at this point would cheapen his swan song in Endwalker -- which already looked like pandering to me, personally. The characters can and should be allowed to remember him, of course, but let what's done be done.

I was so delighted that not once in Dawntrail did we flashback to Emet's speech, and we left that overdone pandering behind in EW's patches. It was a relief that the EW callbacks were to the Void and nature of the Voidsent and the Shards in general and not the Ancients or Convocation, and that while it's a safe assumption that the Ascians' meddling were involved in the electrope and what led to Sphene and the Endless, we no longer needed them lurking with their black cloaks as the real threat to make our villains.
Now to eventually get confirmation of those Ascians in a patch? Yes. But DT needed to stand on its own without them to grow beyond that shadow.

I'm not excited for more Azem lore involving the key but have resigned myself to it as path that the writers have funneled themselves into.

When I first read this, I was thinking, "No @Clerctic....it's totally different." But then I read my list again and...yeah...it's not much different from ShB. LOL I'm also the one who always wants seconds of dessert.

As a peace offering, may I suggest: Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeus reborn as a two-headed Mamool Ja, so that Hythlodaeus can continue to torment Emet for the entirety of their next life.

Not sure if you've done the Wauqamekimeki (Crafter/gather) story quests yet...

But, today I learned through the MIN/BTN one that there's a icy country above Othard past the burn, that's also near Illsabard called Kaguma (I probably butchered that). Where Viera live, the name of said tribe escapes me, and also hid during Garlemald's expansion. One of the NPCs tells that story during the lvl 93 portion of the quest. That's as far as I gotten though. I think this one of the areas Emet was talking about during his bucket list speech. Think this is the first time we get a couple names to the areas, so it's possible that could be a destination in a future expansion. We're due for another winter themed expansion.
