Relic weapons need a place to call home. Devs we have a huge inventory problem….

Yet again another expansion preordered and waited for that once I start playing more and more I get gate locked because I just do not have enough space in my inventory for anything new at all. Retainers are always full to the max capacity, saddle bag is full of relic weapons or as I have read a good chunk of the community uses it for fishing bait, and my personal inventory is always on the brink of overcumbance to the point where I can’t complete quests to accept new coffers or any non-stackable item quests give out as rewards.

This is a huge problem many players face and we really need some kind of fix for it all. I do have a suggestion for one of the types of items that can eliviate some of that burden. Let Relic Weapons be allowed access to be put the Armiore. We currently have 74 battle weapon relics and we can’t put them anywhere but in an inventory space somewhere. They can’t be put in the glamour dresser either, meaning we are forced to keep them in an inventory spot no matter what…or we just throw them out. Something that in most cases were farmed countless hours to obtain…its a slap in the face to work so hard for something just to be forced to throw it away. By the end of this expansion we will be having 95 battle relics….and that is NOT counting the crafting/gatherer relics which also can’t be placed in the glam dresser or armoire. If Armoire access for those items are not possible due to coding perhaps we can get a new “Armory” desser case specifically for special weapons like the relics and their subsequent replica equivalents, perhaps even be able to add Ultimate weapons in it as well. Things worked extremely hard for such as relics and ultimate weapons should have a place to call home, this will alleviate many inventory spots as after next expansion we will have a total of 118 relics in total (again not counting crafter/gatherer relics) that will take up the precious inventory space we have very little of.

That already exists. Unless you're still dragging around Eureka Physeos relics because you're that addicted to farming in Eureka, or you're holding onto old Blade's and Mandervillous relics for Ultimate/Criterion Savage optimisation, you can just throw away the original weapon and put a Replica in your glamour dresser. (If you're doing this with ARR relics, trade it in for the 2 crystals first.) The reason why relics can't normally be placed inside the Glamour Dresser is because they have metadata attached to them. Just like how placing an item in the Glamour Dresser resets its Spiritbond to 1% and durability to 100%.

Ultimate weapons can be put in the glamour dresser. A friend of mine has an Artemis Bow Ultima in there.

I do hang on to them I am aware “Replicas” and Ultimate weapons can be in the dresser. But if you actually read my post you would know I said it feels like a slap in the face to work so hard for something and then be forced to just throw it away like it was for nothing. I don’t want a replica when I glam it to something we should have a place to put the real relics. And yes I am carrying every completed relic I have and yes I do have all jobs to 90 and working on them all to 100, and yes I do currently have all current 74 relics taking up space. I don’t want to throw them away. I want to have them in a place where they can belong. I hate working my ass off for something and being told ok it’s useless now just go throw it in the trash. There is no reason they can’t make a new dresser specifically for relic weapons, I just suggested it could also be used for any specially hard worked weapons as well such as the Ultimate weapons. Savage raid weapons too if we want to go further. 800 glamour spaces is not enough for all the weapons we can get as well. Right now if we wanted to put all replicas, ultimate weapons into a glamour dressor it would take up most of the dresser. ARR has 90 total replicas alone. Heavensward has 98 replicas. Stormblood has 50 because they started having less steps. Shadowbringers has 108, and Endwalker has 95 total due to less steps. We have 441 replicas taking up glamour spaces. That is more than half the dresser space in itself. There should be a place to just put them to not use up that much space. Achievement and purchased gear uses the Armoire that’s fine, but with more and more equipment coming out we need more and more space for things, I am just suggesting some things need a new proper place to call home. All artifact gear for example should be place able in the Armoire too if you ask me, not just the ARR artifact gear. All these things take up too much space if you have all jobs max level. They should just have a specified home at this point.

Why do you want to hold onto every single step of the relics?
You don't need to hold onto a relic to get its replica. As soon as you've unlocked the ability to buy the replica, you can go back and buy it whenever you want to.

Not true actually in order to get the ARR replicas you HAVE to have the completed relic in your inventory in order to receive any steps of the replicas.

You are still completely missing the point I am making. I do not want to spend countless hours grinding something, and be forced to throw away the item I worked extremely hard to get out of that grind like the entire thing was meaningless. I only keep the fully completed weapons, I don’t carry around 400+ replicas in my inventory. It would be impossible for anyone to do that as we only have 140 normal inventory and 70 saddle bag spots. Even with the two retainers you get for free that still would not be enough to have every replica in your inventory. I also don’t have every replica step in my dresser either. I only put the ones I like in it. Still takes up a huge chunk of the dressers space though. Point is the more and more expansions that get released with more jobs being unlocked means we will keep getting more and more items and never get any new inventory spaces to keep things in. You say you can understand savage and ultimate weapons, but relics are just as sought after and cherished by the community. But with more and more Ultimates being released as each expansion comes they too will start being more than can be kept in your inventory. There are 93 ultimate weapons, which is well over 1/2 of an inventory space and 1/8 the glamour dresser space. Not going to go and count all the savage tier weapons, as my point has been made already at how ridiculous it is we keep getting more and more items weapons and armor sets yet still after a decade of the game being released we still have the bare minimum inventory space for all the new stuff being added. Sure they did a big increase on the glamour dresser, but with how much stuff there is in this game that was not enough, half the people I know filled up their dressers within the first few days after it was updated. We have an inventory issue and it is only going to get worse the longer the game lives on. And relic weapons not able to be done anything with besides tossed into a dumpster also is not helping the situation. If there was a new dresser specifically for hard special weapons earned in game that would help elevate a lot of that inventory burden and free up precious glamour dresser space as well. That is my entire point, we need better inventory period. I think there is also many other special gear and stuff that should be Armoire accessible but is not.

You keep getting hung up on the “just throw it away and use the replicas” concept, but that does not solve the fundamental issue of the inventory crisis we have in game. It’s not about if I want to keep my fully completed Relic or opt out to use a replica version of it. It’s about how we need an inventory overhaul. We need more places to put things. And I think having a new dresser for special weapons such as relics, replicas, savage, and ultimates could help a lot with all of that.
