None of us here work for SE, none of us are the CEO- nobody here gets anything out of making excuses or reasons why it shouldn't be criticized or something should be given a pass

They're busy using XIV's income to make games that can't recoup their development costs. I don't think SE's had anything else they consider a success since the first game of the ∞-part FF7 sequel-remake series.
