Feedback: Best Expansion for Encounters YET

I figure if I’m going to make forum posts complaining about the things I don’t like, it’s only fair I post about the things I do!

Dawntrail dungeons and trials have been some of my FAVORITE normal difficulty content I’ve run in this game. I love how the devs have taken the time to make mob pulls more engaging (especially in the two expert dungeons!) and figuring out the way first to solve mechanics, then how to maximize dps while executing them has been a blast. It’s the perfect level of difficulty, and it feels like the game is really trusting us to understand the language it’s speaking. There are very few mechanics I found unfair (Deadwalk boss 1 I’m looking at you - although that’s much more an issue of ping + hitboxes being larger than they seem than anything). Even if we wipe multiple times to the same boss, the shortcut change lets us hop right back in and helps mitigate frustration. If this is what awaits us in the normal and alliance raid series, then I’m all for it!

Making my first post to say I agree. Dungeon boss combats this expansion is the best its ever been. And I swapped off the high mobile summoner to the not so mobile Pictomancer. I love the dungeon fights being engaging and requiring some actual effort. They're not super hard, but they can't be done while asleep.

Reviving this to say the raids were even better than I’d hope they’d be!! Talk about some INCREDIBLE fight design!!! It was SOOOO satisfying learning mechanics and then seeing them all come together in some crazy ways. I also LOVED the different uses of the arenas. I know people are having some trouble with them but I don’t think they’re unfair at all; the bleed debuffs grant more room for recovery than vuln stacks and pretty much every class has something in their toolkit to help with survivability. Please keep trusting us with these kinds of challenges! It’s ok for us to fail and learn and pick ourselves back up again!!

YES i hope people keep making posts just like this. Drown out the negative not even casuals just bad players with no even wanting or trying to get better they just want mmo walking simulator. The reason we have to drown them out is yoshi p listens to casuals and has changed the game from their complaints many times in the past because they are the majority. Please the game finally after 6-7 years made a jump in the right direction he better not go back . If he bends the knee this time i am done. I rely hope he stands up to them and sees good comments like this. Even most casual people i talk to love it thats why i think its just a few people that want walking simulators are complaining. The game is going in the right direction lets keep it going i cant wait for savage!!!

Wow, you just don't get it though! If I don't pay attention to the bosses and have horrendously out of date gear the fights suck! Why should I have to upgrade my gear and engage in combat in this RPG? And like, wiping when learning the fight??? But I'm perfect!!!! If I die then that means the fight was bad because I'm perfect and shouldn't die and thus its the fight's fault!

    /s btw.

I'm honestly sick of all the complaining I see here. It's honestly so infuriating to see the depths of lies and excuses people will go to in order to justify their inability to complete genuinely fun and well designed encounters that feel for the most part extremely fair and well balanced. If only these people put as much effort into improving a bit as they did in complaining they would also get to have a ton of fun with the best non-hardcore content we have had in... ever really. While I have my issues with the DT story, the content has been a huge step up from the very start.

I hope SE keeps it up, and doesn't listen to the people whining. The content team is absolutely knocking it out of the park and I can't wait to see the savage version of the new raids. Hell, even the dungeons are interesting and not completely mind numbing!
