    FATE Scaling

FATEs currently scale based on how many players are in the instance when it spawns, rather than the number of players who are in the instance when the FATE is being actually performed.

This leads to situations where because of FATE trains switching instances due to having no FATEs available, a single person can be up against 20 enemies in a kill enemies FATE at once, or the train jumps into a new instance and is able to shred a Boss FATE in less than 30 seconds.

Fates would have to dynamically scale whenever people join or leave an instance. This seems like it could be tough to achieve. It could also lead to sudden difficulty increases for players solo’ing a fate when a hunt train rolls on in

I was going to come here and write up a complaint on this very same issue but you beat me OP! Agreed!

I don't find anything wrong with FATE trains switching instances itself but the system leads to a lot of unfun situations on both sides. Is anyone in these FATE trains really having fun mowing down 3 monsters at a time with your 8-man party?

If it's too much to implement, they should ban FATE parties from switching instances and just make more FATEs show up in their current instance instead. Because this makes the FATEs so unfun for everyone including them.

The game can't stop players from switching instances. I agree that the game should make at least one new FATE appear as soon as the previous FATEs are cleared/despawn. Part of what makes FATE farming fun is keeping the momentum going as you move from FATE to FATE.

Having 2-3 minute gaps where there are no FATEs kills that momentum.

Yeah, it didnt seem very feasible to stop them from doing that. I just wish they'd make them not want to do it at all (maybe with more FATEs showing up). Because it gets very unfun when you have a giant group leave.

Best option would be fates scale with the amount of player joining the fate (not the instance).
More player join make it harder.
More player leave make it easier.

And this should be used for hunt since 300 player kill A rank in 15s.

The FATEs scale to the number of participants that did that FATE priviously and not to the number of players on the map. At least if they haven't changed something to the system with Danwtrail.

I don't like it either, that you have to kill like triple the amount of monsters when you are suddenly alone on the map.

The system is a bit annoying if you are trying to do fates solo. Some fates I'll be perfectly fine and only have to kill a few mobs, next one there's a bunch and I either have to slowly pick them off one by one or wait until the parties come along and I get help from them.
I don't mind partying up to do these but a lot of times I do fates in-between queues.
