Ivalice Jobs would be interesting in XIV

Ivalice jobs from the Ivalice alliance side of Final Fantasy would be intriguing additions. I would like to at least see one or two of these in Final Fantasy XIV's lifetime.

Time Mage is the obvious inclusion, but what about Morpher? Morpher would be a neat limited job because instead of using monster magic they TURN INTO monsters.

Viking would be incredible. I could see it being a hammer tank, or a hammer DPS that wields Nordic inspired attacks and enchantments.

Spellsword would be AWESOME. It could be kind of the reverse red mage, where instead of using magic itself as the main thing, and then going in for sword attacks, the magic would be the sword attacks in your weapon. Wouldn't even have to be a "mage" but would be more mage adjacent.

Arithmagician would be a unique job, though not all would like the math mechanics that might ensue with the theme.

Regardless though, I would love to see some Ivalice job inclusions. Heck, even Green Mage is an idea that is a result from what Ivalice games have introduced.

Yes, astrologian barrows from Time Mage. Paladin borrows from the spell swords

In the original Fantasy Tactics there’s a job called Astrologer which is a class unique to the character Orran. The character’s job was said by Yoshida to have been the inspiration for Astrologian, which is most notable in that Orran’s signature move was ‘Celestial Stasis’, which is also the name of Astrologian’s LB3.

Paladins are based on Knights (the JP translation of Paladin is literally ‘Knight’) rather than ‘Spellswords’, which isn’t really represented in the game yet, though arguably XIV’s Red Mage fills that niche in all but name

I would be open to new jobs being sideways progression of existing jobs, Like since Paladins borrow from Spellswords, If they implemented Spellsword as a DPS version of Paladin, using PLD weapons, but with Maiming gear or something, etc, Same goes with WAR, DRK, they're all the easy ones to come up with stuff. Could bring back Samurai Tanks as Bushido's or something, Theres a lot of potential there, if they're open to it.

Because adding more is a lot harder than fixing what exists. If they add more it is all but a lock they won't be able to fix what's there, and the more you add the more and more difficult it becomes to balance.

I've always been a fan of mage knights and while I know I could play red mage to suit my needs there it isn't the quite the same as what I envisoned, though that job is still fun. One thing I'd like to see is something like Salve-Maker from Bravely Default, a healer that uses potions and such to heal/damage rather than magic. I don't know if it's something that could work, and I vaguely remember something Yoshi-P said about a healer like that but it would still be cool to see.

Cause the dev have shown they don't have anywhere near the required ammounts of creative design to do so. Remember in Endwalker when they introduced new classes. They litteraly gave Scholar a random speed buff after they said they had no idea what else to give it, since all the shield healer idea they had in store were just given to the new Shiny Sage job? Or how they removed Conal AOE from most class, But Reaper was allowed to keep it so it could feel unique for them?

Making new jobs take lots of time and the more jobs you create, the more spread your time is when it come to reworking other one. It also become harder to make each single one feel unique.
