Face Wear - All good stuff by MGP only

Personally, I don't gamble in FFXIV. Some folks, I'm sure, have a strong objection to gambling. I don't, but just don't enjoy it.

But for some unknown reason, all the nice FaceWear requires playing at the Golden Saucer.

How about Quest Rewards, Tribal Rewards, or GemStone rewards for some of these too, so that those of us that don't Gamble at the Golden Saucer can have nice things too?

The Gold Saucer is a house almost always loses place. You have to work to not gain MGP. It's. It really gambling in the traditional sense. Outside the cactpot, which are random and more of a gatcha type syatem (though you still gain MGP from losing), it's basically a house of mini games.

it's impossible to lose MGP at the gold saucer for anything but the minigames/Triple Triad. this is due to CERO/PEGI restrictions on gambling (which those are excepted from as games of skill)

The Gold Saucer is not real gambling, but if you don't want to do their minigames just do weekly Wondrous Tails or Fashion Reports for the MGP rewards.

It would be nice to see varied quest rewards that includes items like these, along with other means besides the gold saucer.
However, if you are looking to get MGP without the gambling aspect you can do the weekly fashion report or play some of the GATEs they offer, as they don't require MGP to play.
As others have stated it isn't really gambling, the house almost always loses so you really only have something to gain from it.

Another alternative is whenever they have a moogle tomestone event you can buy vouchers that grant you 50k mgp at a time, so it can be a good opportunity to get a large amount of them.

For both the daily and weekly Cactpot, it is impossible to lose money; the only question is how much you will gain. From that perspective, it doesn't feel like gambling to me.

That said, the main way that everyone makes MGP doesn't require anything close to gambling: just do the weekly Fashion Report. Nothing is random there. If you just talk to the person, you'll always get 10k MGP. And if you actually put on the correct clothes, then you'll get 60K MGP. It won't take you long to be able to afford anything you want at the Saucer.

The Gold Saucer is more like an arcade than a casino. You're not betting anything, you just insert your credits and play games for prizes.

It's a new system, more pieces for it will show up later, probably all over the place. The Gold Saucer is just an easy place to dump stuff to make people try it out. And a lot of us long time players have an absurd amount of MGP anyway (I have 6.6 million and rarely actually remember to go play anymore), so we get to live test the system.

There will probably be glasses/facewear from other sources in the future, but with something new like this where they have to introduce a certain amount of base options to start with, it makes sense to just put them in the easily-accessible "funny money" store in the saucer.
