Remove Trust System from future Trials

I feel like the issue of ‘NPC’s being present solely for trust system’ is more of a writing issue than the trust system itself. Like, it feels like that because it’s so poorly written, not because the trust system exists lol

Correct to a degree. The level 89 Trial in EW pulled it off perfectly. The issue is that with trust, you're forcing the same exact plot beats because at levels x3 and x9, you NEED to have at least seven other characters around, and at least three others for the dungeons. Unironically, I love what they did with trusts in most ARR stuff, where it's just random adventurers that go with you, and you can see their equipment and levels changing.

I do think that Trusts are impacting the writing quality of this game with characters miraculously popping in and out at light speed almost as if their dialouge is "I dont want to be here but you need a tank"

I think I'd rather trusts stop being justified by the plot

I loved it. Even if the party setup for the second trial was a bit rushed, it was our compatriots coming together to help us, including new compatriots like Koana. Narratively it fit that these were the people handling the fights just like with Hydaelyn. I was fine with the Azem crystal at the end because we were alone, in a place where it would make sense to gather others to us. But they could always make that call our companions to us in the future instead of warriors from across the shards. Could even be kind of the WoL pulling a "Haha, you thought you took my friends away, eff you" type of thing to what they're fighting.

I like your idea about adding a cutscene to dungeons for the Azem crystal to show we're gathering warriors to us from other places.

You can just... not use trusts. It's 110% optional.
Why do you hate that the main character is... the main character so much? The entire expansion is about Wuk Lamat? We knew that going in?
I love being able to use trusts for trials. I love having to learn the fight to get past it, and not having to worry about someone deciding "it's week 2 so I'm going to explain mechanics unprompted". It's a great feature and I hope they stick with it.

Thank goodness we had Duty Support for 2/3 MSQ trials because the DPS queues were insane.

I am confused. Why did they allow trusts for the first two trials but not the last one? It needs to be an all or nothing approach with trusts.
