Infinit exp bonus in leveling roul

there currently is and always hasbeen a problem with queue times in "older" content as well as a way to high burnout potential from having to run the same dungeons over and over again to level all jobs to the new max lvl. So why cant we just change the leveling roul in a way that it always gives the exp bonus that is currently only with the first run of the day (not counting the tomes bc those can stay ones per day). It would help with dungeons queues in the lower levels / older content as well as prevent the risk of burnout

No, it wouldn't help. Queue times aren't caused by not enough players queueing. They're caused by imbalance in role representation in the queue.

There could be 100,000 DPS in queue at the same time and most are going to be sitting around twiddling their thumbs for a long time if only 10,000 tanks and 10,000 healers show up.

On the other hand, there could be 60 DPS, 30 tanks and 30 healers in queue and everyone would get placed in a group very quickly because the role representation is correctly balanced.

To improve queue times, there would need to be greater incentive for level cap players to join the queues in the role(s) needed to get the queue moving. With the current design, that incentive stops once the weekly tomestone cap is reached. The AIN bonuses are laughable for a level cap player because there are better ways to earn more gil in less time.

What burnout? if anything it would make me burnout harder from being hostaged into Halatali, brayflox slop or copperbell mines for the 1000000000000000000000th time where u get to press 1 button and most classes don't even have access to aoe.

AIN is also trash, its 90% tank in need even if healer que is instant.

Not only that, but isn’t it also a thing where players who are going to level tanks/healers generally do it immediately/quickly? Which means outside of like the first few days of the expansion, most people who are going to level a tank/healer are already finished or close to finishing, which ends up tanking queues for the dps.

Idk maybe it’s all just headcanon, but I think on top of needing much better incentives to do the roulettes there also needs to be something done about all the things that put people off levelling tanks and healers too.

Very true, those that like to tank and heal tend to level those jobs first.

I don't know if there's something that could be done to address the greater interest in DPS jobs than tank and healer jobs that wouldn't also eliminate the need for DPS jobs. Most players seem to be interested in big damage numbers (let's face it, getting off a huge crit can feel good). If tanks and healers were able to deal the same damage, there would be no reason to bring DPS unless the job system was reworked to every role being a support role that brought something very unique and mandatory.

There's also the responsibility and social attention factors. Tanks and healers tend to get subjected to more scrutiny and many don't like having that sort of attention placed on them. It can generate anxiety when they're trying to relax after an already busy and/or stressful day.

It would probably take a fairly comprehensive study or survey of MMORPG players to find out why they prefer their favorite role and why they don't like to play others to even have a chance to address the imbalance. It could come down to it's simply not possible because the interest just isn't there in being tank or healer no matter what changes get made.
