Completely agree, and this goes along with my perspective and argued point. Not everyone is playing on the same level, in the same experience bracket, or with the same knowledge set, and STILL this is considered an issue. The problem still remains to me as a lack of clear communication. You either get tanks who don't care that their pace is out matching the skill of the party, the dps doesn't care that someone is in a cutscene or lagging behind, or even perhaps the healer is new. These are all examples, but the common occurrence is dead silence.

Most groups throw out a Hi o/ and that's the last true verbal communication allotted. Sure...the group keeps pace...sure...things get killed, but often in this situation the conflict is because of assumptions and lack of communication.

If you want a tank that is guaranteed to play how you want, then either play tank yourself or ask someone you know who can.
It is entirely possible to expect a minimum skill level of your fellow players while being empathic if someone can't keep up. Like I said in my post, you can give pointers, if the tank still struggles after, you definitely can and should accept just a lower pace.
But by that point, it is a difference between being UNABLE to keep up, and being UNWILLING to keep up.

The ones who say "you pull you tank" are generally universally people who are UNWILLING. And this is an issue. Because then we just allow players to say "I'm not going to heal you either" and "I'm just gonna AFK here". Because apparently there is no written rule telling them not to display a minimum viable skill level in order to play with others.

If a tank says at the start of a dungeon "hey I'm new to tanking or this dungeon, I'm going to take it slow", there is a super low chance that someone else will go "no. Screw you. Max speed.". Literally, if that happens, such people need to get kicked. But I'm willing to bet that 99% of players are fine with it, and they'll help.
But if the tank knows the social norm, and they are just unwilling to even provide an excuse for slow pulling, they just go slow without reason other than selfishness, it leads to annoyance. It is definitely up to the tank to announce this, because they are out of the norm. If they have too much of an ego to do so, then we know they are a troll and should not be tanking. And we all know what kind of hissy fits the YPYT tanks write in chat.

I'm often guilty of being with or slightly ahead of the tank when I'm healing, throwing DoTs on everything as we pass, in the full knowledge that if the tank is doing their job properly then they'll pick them up and I'll pay for my recklessness with a few auto attacks but I'll stop as soon as asked (which has happened a half dozen times). I hold no malice toward the tank, I'm just being efficient, I have had instances where the tank has thrown a tantrum either on me or on a dps (and me as a result) and generally in such a situation I am not above continuing without them - I have the kit to sustain a dps in the tank role as long as they don't try to pull too much or do something stupid.

I still stand by my previous statement that "the tank sets the pace and a good healer facilitates them", I've just grown as a player to not believe I always have to facilitate from the rear.

I've long been of the opinion that the pace of the dungeon is a vote from all in the party. This vote can be made in chat, through actions done, or by simply going with the presented flow. If I'm tanking and dps or healer pulls a mob then that is clear communication that they want bigger pulls or a faster run. If someone types in chat that they want bigger pulls that is also clear communication. Both are fine. Neither is better than the other IMO.

I do also find it extremely weird when people think dps don't have a say in the pace of a run. They literally kill everything. DPS determine if a tank or healer has to spend extra resources or not.

When I tank I don't care if dps or healers get ahead of me. I am still going that way and will pick up the enemies quickly. My only issue is when they pull a boss when a player is in a cutscene, or run ahead and pull if someone died and is catching up still to where we are. I prefer to wait for them if I can.

Oh, my other issue is healer running ahead of me and then rescuing me when they get all the aggro. Thats a big no. Don't do that.

This is not even remotely a big deal. If you pull, bring it back to me. I'll take the free mitigation while you have it.

This exactly. I hate it when some DD pulls and then runs in circles around me, always avoiding my AoE - I'm not there to play Catch the Clown.
And when this happens while I'm healing, I wait until either the aggro is on the tank, or the clown is dead - over the years I had my fair share of heal aggro, so no more for me pls.

like I said multiple time we all play a online game with various people some have disability other just stress to much so honestly I just follow the tank when I aren't one. and if I tank I try one big pull if it fail I will go slower and when the first pull reach mid HP I just move to the other! if the healer isn't used to heal big pulls it make them more manageable
