Did they change something with the hidden nodes with gathering

Now I'm a patient person, also I'm a completionist, and I've done this on my other characters with no problem. On my current character I made on Dynamis when DT came out I literally have been Harvesting Nophica Wells for a few hours just to get Garlic Cloves a level 11 seed, which usually pops. Ive gathered 100 Garlean Garlic 100 Wild Onions, the Onion set has popped 20 - 30 times, almost 700 water crystals and Garlic cloves has never shown yet (This is around 250 nodes Ive been to). All I want is the checkmark for an item that im going to discard anyways.

I understand and respect "rare" items and am willing to grind for stuff like that but I feel something is off with this. Just like the Amon Bug in the Crystal Tower. I don't know.

Well another hour passed went from 700 water shards to over 1500, gather 4 a piece at each node thats around 200 more nodes not a single Garlic clove, but Onion sets popped around 15 more times.

Alright another 800 shards thats another 200 nodes no Garlic cloves around 9 Onion sets popped, now I am at hour 4 trying to get a worthless item, now I am wondering if I cant get the gathering log achievements, because of this. Again I understand grinds, but 4+ hours for a worthless item, that I have gotten on other characters within 10 minutes all the time is pointing to a bug in my opinion. Im gonna take a break from it. I started doing this at lvl 23 BTN Im now halfway to lvl 27 getting 80 exp (average), the levels has been 40k - 54,600k thats ridiculous.

I have a friend who is also trying to get it to knock it off their completion list without luck. RNG simply sucks sometimes, especially when there are multiple seed types available on the same set of nodes.

I'll give you the same advice I gave him - wait until you have Luck of the Pioneer. It's not worth stressing over at low levels when at a higher level you can force seeds to appear. That should allow you to get any seed without trouble.

If you continue to get only the Onion Set after repeated use of Luck of the Pioneer, then it would be worth submitting a bug report.

Also, you can add edits to your original post rather than replying to yourself repeatedly.
