My opinion on the game and how I think it could be improved

The main story quest has received so many negative complaints and I attended to agree with it the writing could of been better, we were told this was a vacation and the story just focuses on Wuk Lamat nothing else Krile and the others barely if at all get any screen time and we are just supporting characters. What happened to the thrill of adventure, the isle being haunted by ghost pirates, the whole Bermuda Triangle and golden city theme? None of that was in the msq and the vipers are not even included on the island after doing the quest line saying that they were hunting a large bird on the isle and they needed help killing it they just get left out. The story imo could of been thought out more like the game was in a dnd campaign and engages the players. Main reason people pay to play is the story not the content itself so writing needs to be improved. Another thing I’m seeing is dungeons are a bit to fast paced for melee dps and healers so could be dialed back some and could be less stressful for those jobs. The amount of complaints for healer mains have been ignored and there do need to be some adjustments the job is slightly boring and all we do is spam spells cause mitigation and self heals are to buffed that tanks and dps barely take damage. Last thing that needs to be said is you made pictomancer to over power that the dps pulls aggro off the tanks and could be nerfed down some to help with that issue.

To me the issue is the lack of longevity of the game. Once you finish the story, there is little else to do. I spent a lot of time doing gold saucer and fishing expeditions but eventually you've seen it all and got all of the rewards you wanted. I don't like doing the same scripted instanced fights over and over again so I don't like FF14 raids. During Stormblood, you had four Eureka maps to progress through and all of these relic weapons and job outfits to grind for. In ShB, you only got two Bozja maps and they only got patched in the latter half of the expansion's lifecycle. And then with Endwalker, there were zero Eureka maps whatsoever. Right now I am doing FATEs in the Dawntrail zones for the music rolls but they aren't challenging at all and I hope I don't have to wait a year for the first Eureka map to be added. Beastmaster might be fun but you're still going to be forced to do boring easy FATEs to level up with it. And then for PvP, you can't queue for rated Crystalline Conflict with a friend even though can do rated PvP with friends in WoW and GW2, so that really puts a damper on my enthusiasm for that game mode. The game does not have a strong RP community like WoW does (as in actual, legit RP with hundreds of people turning up for a military campaign, not ERPers or coffee shop RP) to help keep people interested during dry spells.

Uh…’copying content’ seems a little strong lol. Science fiction elements have existed in almost every Final Fantasy since literally the very first game (Lufenians and their flying sky fortress aka spaceship). Plus considering the importance of Allagans/Dalamud throughout Final Fantasy XIV’s storyline it’s made abundantly clear that this isn’t (well, wasn’t) a technologically undeveloped world, long before we reach Alexandria

While early Final Fantasy game had "science fiction" elements, they did not dominate the aesthetic. Final Fantasy had a medieval fantasy aesthetic with occasional sci fi bits up until FF7 in which the first disc was set in a diselpunk dystopia, after that you are trekking through a wide open wilderness as expected of the franchise. FF8 has some futuristic sci fi cities but again most of the game is trekking through the wilderness as expected. It isn't until FF13 where we get a game is almost entirely running through urban environments and futuristic sci fi that we saw massive fan backlash as their expectations were betrayed, which is why while the game was good it should not have been branded as Final Fantasy as that comes with certain expectations. If it had been titled as its own thing like The Last Remnant or Versus XIII originally was, it would have been judged on its own merits and received better. Similar issue with FF15 where most of the game is spent driving around Barstow California and stopping at gas stations rather than trekking through a fantasy world.

Solution Nine looks pretty, but spending two years there is not quite what I want out of a Final Fantasy title. It's too modern day for me. Amaurot despite the blocky concrete buildings was okay as a one off zone you forgot about after you finished the story.
