Absolutely More New Races Please

I think they're at the breaking point for normal races and maintaining them. They also have hit most of the mainline series races at this point, you'd have to dive into Crystal Chronicles and the ilk next.

Still, I will throw in my request I've had since FFXI: I want to be a Moogle.

I don't want to wear armor, just weapons and hats. Heck, I dont even have to be capable of speech. "Kupo!" is enough for the WoL to get by.

Given that female Hrothgar and male Viera were kinda added under sufferance, I feel new races are very unlikely.

Plus given that 14 is a game that is design and expects you to do everything with one main, it really, IMHO, lessens the value of new races (I've played alts in 14 a few times but it always feels like a waste to level an alt when I could do it on my main instead).

If it wasn't for the fact they needed to finish female hrothgar, then DawnTrail and the FF# title and things associated being brought over to 14 would've been the clear point and time to add Burmecians. Even then, it would still be nice to see Burmecians in the future.

If we ever went back to Hingashi, some small Tanuki-like race would would be fun as an original option. But we'll see in the future.

Not sure they will adding any more in. When we got Viera and Hrothgar it was said that these were going to be the last races. They wanted to give players a race they have been asking for which was Viera and a beast like race. They couldn't decide which one to do since both were being heavily asked for and they know they couldn't get both races done in time for 5.0 so they compromised and did one as the female and one as the male. The player base threw a temper tantrum, SE caved and added the missing genders. But who knows they may go back on that and add more down the road, but I agree with a few other posters above. I much rather see them rework and add more options for the current races before adding another race.

Yoshi P confirmed that it isn't the last afterall. Doesn't mean it will be soon though.

No thanks, there's very little customization for so many races already. Better work on the existing ones, especially if it's to release the last ones..

We can have both you know. I don't know why fans insist on denying certain things as if we can't have both. We can in time.

I would say first finish the races that need it and rework/update/expand the Character Creator for the existing Races.

When all that is done they can always add a Race later....or they give us a new sub-types for Races.
Which wouldnt surprise me as it could be use for marketing and its less work.
