Regardless 9/11 brought America to its knees and 3000 people died but I dont recall it causing any gaming companies to shut down, for a week, lol.

Apart from one of the biggest gaming companies in the world.... the New York Stock Exchange was closed for nearly a full week.

9/11 was hardly on the scale of what happened in Japan, Haiti and even Australia.

I don't recall 9/11 causing a nuclear crisis and a major power outtage through the country, that brought rolling power blackouts for months and similar events.
While 9/11 was an extremely tragic event, it was also a localized disaster, it didn't destroy power plants and other service centers that influence gaming companies and their operation.

So yeah, apples to oranges.

The problem is not patch 1.16a .... it's a hot fix patch not a full update. But at least SE could have given us the changes that will be in patch 1.17. Even if they haven't finalize them all, we could at least get a preview. Yoshi-P also has not made any new letter or comments or anything to keep the community up to date.

Everyone is left in the dark and all we get is a quick hot fix that makes everyone feel even more hopeless for FFXIV's future....

They said we will probably get more information about battle changes this week. They stated 1.17 that was scheduled to be released end of March is pushed back for about two weeks. They even told us they will release companies information just before the release of 1.17. What else do you want, seriously?

Look at how much info SE has given us since the forums went live.... not after the earthquake. Since the forums went live they figured out they don't need to update us that often anymore since we got a place to keep busy while complaining. Look at the previous letters and info from SE, we were getting stuff almost a couple of times per week. Now it's once a month and the trend will continue u can bet on it. It's a bad move on SE's part to not let us know what is coming up in the future because that kinda on info is what will keep players around.

While i agree people need to be patient, the new team have not done anythin but words and promises so far.tweak and patches.

What do we need so people shut up ?A real update.How soon? well that depends on the dev team.I rather get somethin polished and engaging than more of the same unfinished garbage they have been feeding us since release.

Promises , letters , etc. Is just that , promises and letters.I think the complains are justified, but the complainers need to have patience , game wont magically fix itself.We definitely dont need more unfinished stuff in ffxiv.then again they need to hurry . We keep loosing people everyday.Time will tell.
