Again, you too are trying to sell your opinion as a fact. What clock are you talking about? There is no clock ticking, at least not for me. What MMOs are you talking about anyway? Guild Wars 2? That one will not be released before 2012. TERA online? Probably will not make 2012 either. What is left?

People should simply look at FFXIV as a beta, until the PS3 version is released. If they release the PS3 version and still have a bad gameplay, no content and not enough subscribers we can talk about a ticking clock. Right now there is no ticking clock, at least not for me.

You guys are making up imaginary ticking clocks or whatever and pressure yourself, the community and the developers for no reason. If someone wants to go play Wow, just go an play. If you want to go play Diablo 3, just go and play. There is no need to keep announcing it here, it will not change anything.

Personally I do think that FFXIV has at least until late 2011 to get everything working and release the PS3 (early 2012 latest). If they are still as messy one year after Yoshi took over we can start talking about clocks and if they are ticking or not. Right now there is no such thing ... at least not for me ... I can not and will not talk for the whole community like you guys tend to do.

Everything here is in fact " opinions".I think is pretty redundant to put everytime i say anything "in my opinion".
Im talking for me and the people i know. the game right now is boring after you reach level 50 kill nms and level other classes.All that is left is rinse and repeat.The is a beta only takes us so far,people get bored and leave.You know i been doing the same 3 thins for the last 2 months .
1-do leves/behest
2-kill nm
3-craft.

Thats all there is to do ,so please tell me , how exactly would people stay if somewere else they get offered more than this.this game needs big changes.

Also , i never said when is the deadline for this, yourself say ffxiv have until late 2011.
How exactly is that different from what i said ? lol.

Why wait 3 weeks? If you're that set on splitting, then I highly doubt that anything Yoshi says is going to please you.

You haven't been adding much here other than your namesake, so by all means, take some initiative and leave early.

Yoshi-P has a chance to restore hope while we're not thinking about the freaking awesome upcoming games.

I think you are trying to say that I am contradicting myself? A ticking clock would imply that there is some kind of rush/urgency.

I am talking about almost 9 to 12 months from now. I do not see a urgency there, do you?

I am just using my brains and try to guess how long it would take any company to fix a game this broken. Like I said in my post above. The patches are not just about adding content or adjusting small mechanics or fixing bugs. They are basically redeveloping certain big and important parts of the game (maps, battle, classes). So it is not more than fair to give Yoshi at least one year before we draw our final conclusions.

I am giving them a year, while you and some others don't even give them a week after the disasters in Japan. The servers came up as soon as they could get them up. As soon as the servers were up they released patch notes and still you and some others had the balls to make a topic about it to tell us how bad the patch was.

The thing here is that you assume people will leave as soon as something else comes looking around the corner. I think that is not the case. That is the main thing we don't agree on.

That doesn't mean I think the game is great. God, no .... the game is a mess, but it got potential. We just need to take a deep breath, consider this a beta we paid $60 to get into and stop going crazy about it.

You DO NOT KNOW if that is going to happen. That is what I am trying to tell you and the others that think like you. You are just guessing. You are trying to present your opinion as a fact. I do not see any MMORPG that will be released in 2011 that can have a really big impact on the playerbase of FFXIV.

The whole the clock is ticking thing is as valid as me saying FFXIV will beat WoW when the PS3 version is released, because Square Enix is cool and WoW has no moogles.

Most people that would leave FFXIV already left. The few left understand what SE has to do and are waiting for Yoshi to fix the game. The problem is not SE or FFXIV. The problem is a small part of the current player base that do not understand that developing a game and changing the very basics of the game play take some time ...

They are not going to add or remove a small thing. They are talking about redoing whole maps, fixing the battle mechanics and redoing whole class balancing. That is not doable in a week, a month or even a few months ... it takes time. Give it time ...

A few weeks ago everyone was so damn happy about RIFT. RIFT was so cool, so new, so polished ... and so boring because it is a WoW copy. It only took them a few days to come back and troll the FFXIV forums instead of playing their beloved RIFT.

The coming MMOs will do as much damage as RIFT did to FFXIV, which is almost none ...

So you think wow is the only choice of mmos over games such as GW2?

Acording to you no1 would leave for a good , exciting and challenging mmo.I guess i must be unique .
Comparing FFXIV remake to a brand new mmo is the same.You see this games if you find them fun you play them , if not you dont.It is really that simple.

more or less thats how long the game have , i would give it till fall this year imo.More or less.that is enough time to change from beta --> real game.The game wont magicaly "fix" itself.

Altought i gotta say , latest fixes have not been very promising .So far the only update 100% from the "new team" is the agro indicator,( the rest to my eyes have been tweaks, fixes and content already planned by the old team)and personally i hate the agro dot.

You are such a troll. You know that the a and b patches are just patches to adjust some mechanics they introduced in the main patch. Now if this was called patch 1.17 I would totally agree with you, but patch 1.16a and 1.16b (if there comes one) are just to adjust and fine tune the mechanics added in 1.16, nothing more, nothing less.

You forget they had to deal with the earthquake, tsunami, a nuclear powerplant that was giving trouble and having energy troubles in general. As soon as I saw the name of this thread I knew it was you. I shouldn't reply to an obvious troll like you, but I couldn't resist, my mistake.

The servers just came up a few days ago and they are already giving us a new patch to adjust some small things we asked for (like SP and EXP on quest mobs). Now give me ONE, just ONE, company that does this for their MMORPG? Well?
