...I had assumed that SE would take what it's learned from it's 8 years of FFXI and release the best MMO for years to come....

This is essentially the core issue & no one seems to understand.

that experience wasn't present when the game was first released... Those people were the XI dev team and a different team got XIV started.

FFXI dev team was busy, FFXI players were getting tired, XIV devs were noobs, game released & now we all make the switch. It isn't really possible to tweak an mmorpg before release... All the trendy wow crackheads, well they can leave...
