Which is opposed to a meager 16.3% wanting an "accelerated update schedule". Which obviously shows not only that whoever wrote the questions knows quite well that fundamental changes aren't done in a day snapping fingers, but even more than that shows that the "WE WANT IT NOW!" mantra that you're continuously chanting is nowhere near a "we" and much more of a "I".
Inconsequential. The fact that players would like that (in a quite generic way) doesn't mean that they don't want content more. As demonstrated by the poll itself, where the majority stated that they want content.11. Would you welcome changes to FINAL FANTASY XIV that would drastically alter the rules already set in Eorzea?
85.2% - Yes
Battle includes content, and most content in MMORPGs is battle related. Moreover the question asks "how do you (currently) spend most of your time in eorzea" not what you would you like to do. Guess what? there's not much else to do now, and why is that? Because the game lacks content.5. How do you spend most of your time in Eorzea?
56.8% - Battle
Inconsequential. This asks what's an issue with the battle system, and doesn't put battle in comparison with content.*http://static.finalfantasyxiv.com/to...2/68/620_0.jpg
1. What do you feel are currently the most significant issues with the battle system?
21.9% - Lack of class uniqueness.
Same as above.6. In addition to enhancing class differentiation with essential attributes and distinct appearances, we are also looking into introducing class and rank requirements for equipping gear. How do you feel about the implementation of such a system?
70.8% - Yes
Same as above.8. Would you prefer option 1, option 2, or the current system?
56.0% - Removal of physical levels, and the addition of class-specific allotment of attribute points for each class based on rank.
And since when the opinion of Japanese players would be more important than that of players from the whole rest of the world?
because you know, it's not just "North americans". The french, german and English (which include the rest of Europe) show the same overwhelming percentage as the NA. Missed that detail?
Oh really?Yoshi-P has also noted that it doesn't make a lot of sense to add a bunch of new content first when any changes to the combat/armory system would require subsequent retooling of that recently added content.
Nope. Yoshida stated that it doesn't make a lot of sense to add ENDGAME content first. You should really read your own sources, and all the words included in them, without conveniently skipping the ones that don't fit your spinOf course we do want to implmenent high level content, but before that we want to make sure we have a proper battle system in place. If the battle system is not working, then you can't enjoy the high level content.
The game needs content at every level, and especially during the leveling curve, considering that there's a large amount of classes to level up and many people reaching the endgame will move back to level something else.
Yoshida thinks so much that he shouldn't add content, that he's going to implement companies, which are, guess what? content.
And by the way, since we're talking about details you (very conveniently) missed:
8. Which of the following would you like to see implemented first?
More story based quests/miniquests wins again with an overwhelming percentage, in every region, completely obliterating more combat-specific areas like NMs, PvE raiding, PvP and Levequests.
In any case, the majority of the players has spoken quite clearly. And they want content. Questions that don't include the option to chose "content" at all are inconsequential to this subject. So I suggest moving from the "we" to the "I".
The "we" don't seem to agree that much with you.
