You do know this isn't one of those standard MMO's that comes out horrible and they can never fix it this is SE. FFXIV is a title to there franchise so when they say there going to fix it and make it better thats exactly what they mean. Just look at ffxi started horrible and turned out great. They wont make Final Fantasy 15 Too they have FFXIV at is prime. The reason we praising yoshi because he a very smart man and he can turn this game around. If you still here and posting somewhere you think the same if not you would have left and play something else.

You are right, this game is nowhere near being a Standard MMO! That i will give you and yes SE is not a 2 hand company starting making a MMO, but they might as well have been since they just failed as hard as any other one that did I mean we are talking about the company that made FFXI are we Not? Yet FFXIV is miles and leaps behind FFXI in every aspect of the game, FFXI was a good MMORPG, did it start horribly ? Yes it did, is it a good game now ? Yes it is, and who made it that way ? Tanaka did, is tanaka behind FFXIV ? No he is not, so how is FFXIV gonna turn into something equal or better than FFXI ? Oh yeah yoshi, sorry i forget you guy's seem to have selective memory at times, it seems you guys like to think FFXI turned the way it did, for all the reasons but tanaka(When in reality he was the producer of the game) yet any tiny little thing that makes this game even a little bit better is credited to the all holy Yoshi-P(Double standard much?)

I think tanaka would have been the better man but it seem the CEO and stockholder have to blame someone for there own mistake of release the game. The stockholder were most likely scared of not making enough money back and told them to release it 2010. Seeing how stockholder have a big say in anything SE does, Tanaka did the right thing and blame himself and said it in the letter this is me getting off and letting someone else lead. It's a company you can't blame the person who pay your check can you? not double standard Yoshi is doing things in the new way that players are into for all we know tanaka could be still doing his work and Yoshi is noting but a face. yes a lot of ppl are credited yoshi for tanaka work but w/e he doing something players like i guess.

Actually no one got thrown overboard.Tanaka included. I believe this isn't even the first time you're told this: there have been no known layoffs over FFXIV.
There are developers that are able to assess the fact that their game has issues, and work to solve them. This doesn't make the game "broken " (since every single aspect of the game is perfectly playable).
It simply means what it says, the game has issues and they are working on them.
Unfortunately some can't give up using spiteful and hyperbolic terms that have nothing to do with the game's situation.

But yeah, someone asked you if you're even playing the game, and what level you are. Given the unconstructiveness of your usual postage, I would say it's a curiosity I share, because you don't even seem to be aware of the state of the game at all.

And who decides what the standard is?
Who decides what areas of the game count towards the standard and what not? I could think quite a few areas of FFXIV that are quite above the market standard. Graphics, art direction and music being three prominent ones.

You seem to think that people erroneously attributing FFXIV's launch flaws exclusively to tanaka is a good reason to hate and continuously rile on Yoshida.

By the way, Tanaka was the *producer* of FFXIV, Tanaka didn't *make* FFXI into a good game. The team did, and the team is made by quite a few key figures. Quite obviously you don't have the role of a producer very clear in mind?
