Im really happy with the patch because i hate the new target system and prefer the pre patch one so i can change back : )

1) The minions typing in the code might be the same people, but the core of the dev teams are not the same. Besides that FFXI and FFXIV servers went down and up the same day/time. So that they care more about FFXI is complete bullshit and you know it. You make up your mind about something and then look for arguments to support your idea/thought.

2) I should not try to discuss with obvious trolls, but do you seriously believe they would make FFXIV free to play for the time being if they had no big intentions of making things better/work? Do you seriously believe yourself? Now you are also comparing Konami (Metal Gear Solid multiplayer servers) with the Square Enix (FFXI and FFXIV servers). Do you not see that that is stupid?

3) Why would they waste time thinking about posting on forums? They read the forums and they make polls we can use to let them know what we want to see. They even publish the results of those polls. Yoshi is posting a letter every two weeks. We are getting 2 updates a month (one big and one small patch). This is such a big improvement from FFXI .... you are blind to not see that.

Yes SE is not Blizzard with a million subscribers and workers that can do nothing but lurk on forums to reply to morons.

Diablo 3 is going to sell like gangbusters. Diablo 2 still cracks into the top 10 selling PC games now and then. It might not be everyones' cup of tea, but to downplay its significance in the RPG and PC markets is laughable. There's a reason people still have LAN parties with it a decade later.

I guess that kinda sums it up. We can close the topic.

WoW introduced MMORPG to the world. They were not the first company with a MMORPG, but they were the ones that introduced it to the mass public. So now everyone compares it to WoW and if there is a game that is a bit different or at least tries to be different it completely gets shot to pieces.

Rift is WoW with a new skin. There is nothing new or thrilling about Rift. Some will be the case for TERA and Guild Wars. Sure they both might steal FFXIV players, but those are the kind of players FFXIV can't keep no matter what they do anyway. Those are the same people that quit WoW and start playing again in the same week.

See we cant blame Yoshi to much because hes picked up where Tanaka *** up. Now we cant exactly praise for patches/updates because every game gets this (and quite frankly they suck so far).

But there is also the silently forgotten concept that: If you listened to us during BETA you'd not have half the problems you do now. Sadly Yoshi wasnt around during BETA, [comment removed due to forum guidelines] and completely ignoring us back then and now having to fix all this stuff and redesign principle systems I dont really give much praise, it shouldnt be happening, it should have been sorted. So no I am not thankful for them ignoring us then turning around and apologising and now they're listening to us. But you cant blame Yoshi for this and so you could praise him for doing what SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE to start with. so its a torn between the 2.

But ultimately it comes down to these 2 faults.
1. Speed
2. Package

These go hand in hand so dont bring up the Japan crap. The speed its taking the dev team to Patch is poor against the amount packaged in the patch. Why is this? If you've had a month to work on a patch why is it taken a month to do simple things?

You do know the CEO and Stockholder hurry up FFXIV right? i think most of us know this a long time ago. 2010 we like o.o tanaka himself said it was not ready yet so why you blaming it on him? Most of the update we getting now and for months would be all tanaka idea so you really can't thank yoshi for it when tanaka is still working on FFXIV. I'm sorry but if tanaka had time to fix this game and was Producer and Director the game would have been much better.

Me i would like tanaka taking care of this game because he old school but hey no one care about old school anymore so that why yoshi is here to brig in more stuff from this gen.
