Honestly, what did you expect from this patch? Do you have no sympathy for everything the dev team and the japanese in general have been going through over the last few weeks? Give them a break please.

Hm.. I've some point of view to share.

1. 1.16a fix sidequest sp?? Isn't last patch just add sidequst? So 1.16a is just a bug fix. Not Patch. Definitely not "Planned"
This is my first suspicious. "Yoshi can really do what he wants according to plan vs TIME?"

2. There is No Way to add more Content in game unless you buy a new DVD/expansion . Like Cut-scene, New Area...etc.
SE can ONLY open more content which is already here. Like Coeatha Castle, some locked cave, already new class, or so call 'Company', a new battle/quest/LS mode?
This is my 2nd suspicious. "Why SE is holding back from unlock stuff?, They're saving it for something that benifit SE, not player , since we already paid for the game"

3. I'm sure they can add 'NM', 'Class -Equipment' with ease if they've enough dev members. There is no need to be huge download to do that. But why update so slow? This is my 3rd suspicious

4. I Only agree Yo-shi need to revamp the whole batttle system ASAP. If we need more player from other MMORPG to make FFXIV popular, or to make ps3 launch success, this is the key.

In summary, I guess that Yoshi's Dev team is relatively small. Or even Yoshi asked for it, SE wo'nt give him much becuase what Yoshi does is not making profit. Why a company will waste expensive human-resource in a non-profit game? They're Japnese, they know this theory very well. Epsically after natural disaster kicked in. Working on FFXIII-2 or FFXIII verse guarentte more instant profit to come.

Well, I'm quiting FFXIV for now, play something that has fun element in it ( Game is good for me from work-stress),
If FFXIV ever has a good real big patch, I'll log on and check if it make me stay.

Otherwise, not gonna be a fan/doll for FFXIV. Still a fan for FF tho ,

Ahem who ever told you this? of course they can add content outside of expansions/packaged DVDs. That's not even in question.

Sorry but your "suspicions" look quite groundless to me. I didn't think there was someone actually able to think that SE was intentionally witholding content to sell it later. Anyone would understand (SE included) that they would risk to have no one to sell it to if they tried that option.

Seriously man. Stop with this rediculous expectations. I think you should stop playing this game like... NOW. I have no problem with people expressing their feelings but man your bashfulness for this game is like totally over board. I again say this.. STOP PLAYING THIS GAME! and hanging out on the FFXIV forums just to bash it. *sigh*
